The plot is pretty basic and easy to follow. Spoiler alert!! It all comes out in the end!This book is a very useful book for beginners helping them to understand the magnitude of what they are planning. The book also helps to understand the language of the construction industry, esp., that needed for construction of bathrooms. The pictures are clear and well labeled. I strongly recommend this book for beginners and those with construction skills with this being their first bathroom to build.

I am mechanically inclined but i found this book goes into great depth for me. I feel as though i could follow this book alone and put in a bathroom whenever i am done. I especially appreciate the section that focuses on the custom showers which is what i aspire to put in my master bedroom downstairs some day. Thank you black and decker, i will be checking into your other books.

This book covers a LOT of material, and some of it in pretty good detail. If you are going to tackle a bath remodel.... this is a good place to start.

If you're doing new construction where everything is perfect, this is a decent guide. Some steps should be shown in pictures that are just described minimally. If you're doing any renovation, this book is not that helpful.

i have most of the series of these Black and Decker books, and i love them, i am a do it yourselfer and they go into detail on how to repair or replace things in the house, and they are pictures instead of drawings. i had a bunch of older ones and i am updating them to newer ones. great books..

I read this book before remodeling my bathroom. It is very helpful and informative. I understood better what to expect before I hired a contractor. It helped me discuss intelligently the work that would be done. I would highly recommend this book whether you will do the job yourself, or give it to a contractor.

The book had all of the information I was looking for. Well written and provides some usable information as well as some very general information on codes.

I think this book is great for handy people who have never remodeled a bathroom before. It is not for those who are not comfortable using hand tools, etc. I like the organization of the book and that it gives pros and cons for different materials. I would definitely buy this book again.
