Useful for it's base purpose, but otherwise anemic and short lived
As a simple audio cable, this is a perfectly serviceable cable. However... a few things. The first of these is: The device comes with NO/ZERO/ZIP instructions. It was simply in a bag labeled with the device description. Yes, it only has one button, and it has a microUSB so you can charge it (more on THAT later), but if there is more than one mode, I certainly don't know about it. For instance: There's a microphone on this thing... so, how is that used? I would suppose it's for when you 'answer a phone call' with it, but my phone certainly doesn't accept that. Pausing music? Nope. Perhaps a Samsung Note 5 just is not compatible.Yes, it uses EL wire to produce light when audio is transmitted through the cable. The light is anemic, and in normal lighting conditions it is barely noticeable, and in full daylight conditions it's impossible to see the light at all. The signal strength of the audio has to be pretty high before it will start actually lighting up at all, and there's a very fine line between 'lights up on the beat' and 'random flashing light'. It takes some fine tuning. As I said above, there is a microUSB port for charging, which seems to work fine. However, HOLDING a charge seems to be an issue. After about an hour, depending on the music/podcast you're listening to, it'll run out of juice. Far, far less than it's supposed 3 to 4 hour runtime. Thankfully, this does not mean it stops transmitting audio to whatever you're sending audio to... but the little EL light will no longer function. Now, during the day... well, you're not gonna see that light anyhow, so why bother. At night, it'll flash at you for a while, but it does die pretty quick.I'll continue to use it as an audio cable, for which it works reasonably in my car. However, I certainly wouldn't purchase another for any reason.

Cute but problematic
I was really excited when I received this product however, it didn't hold up to my expectations. The cord is actually quite heavy due to having to pack so much into the microphone/battery pack. This caused the cord to weigh down the headphones or the device because it was extremely unbalanced. Sometimes the weight would disconnect the cord from the headphones. Also it doesn't last long at all after being charged. These also broke after just maybe three weeks use. It still turns on, but only blinks near the battery which doesn’t help. Also the button was very sticky like it had been mashed in on the day of arrival. It kept triggering Siri even though I didn't press anything. Thus was very frustrating as it would stop whatever I was in the middle of for no reason. Not very satisfied although it looked cool when it actually worked.

Ordered an aux cable. What I got was instead earbuds. Normally, I give this a 1 star review or request a return, but I decided to keep the earbuds.

Not worth $15
Makes a slight high pitch noise when music plays and wished the light would just remain on not go with the music but other than that it is not too long and works fine.

Was too big to fit in my case, and was not expecting the LED to only be for off, and on.

Over all it does what it suppose to do, And is pretty cool that it lights up following the music. But, if the music where to stop for whatever reason, you have to turn the light off. Otherwise you'll be stuck hearing an anoying sound every 5 seconds..

Two Stars
Only flash and off, no steady option, battery life on a full 24hr charge is maybe an hour
