Review: Absolutely necessary for long range shooting.... - You have to watch barrel temp and these work great. They stick well if you clean the barrel with an alcohol pad. You still need to replace them when they start to peel up. I stop to cool down at 55*C and pick back up at 40*C. That gives me 5-10 on-point shots. I start with target ammo to get to 40 then switch to match ammo and try to stay in that range. I am no expert but it works for me.

Like others have said: It’s small If you are attaching it to a curved surface it’s hard to get it to stay attached What I did: I was attaching it to a hot water pipe and I held in place for a couple of minutes get the adhesive to stick better. Otherwise it would have curled up at the edges. The heat of the pipe probably helped in my situation. It’s been in place now for a couple months, so the adhesive is holding up. I needed this temperature range to check the temperature on a hot water heater output. It is “small” but the print is certainly readable. And the temperature reading appears to be accurate. I only needed one, but having a few extras is probably helpful if you’re struggling with the adhesive issue.
