Good for Arduino and Raspberry Pi
Worked and working as I expected and needed with both Arduino(Yun) and Raspberry Pi.I have used the transmitter extensively in the past months and is doing good unlike myearlier one bought of another brand. Bought this for to work with my Lasko Room Heaterand it worked without any issues for the IR codes I was transmitting, both at 5.0 V and 3.3 V.I haven't used the receiver that much but I think it is equally good.

The transmitter and receiver are very easy to hook up
I had a broken remote for a sign from Korea and I needed to replicate some of the buttons that did not work on the original remote. The transmitter and receiver are very easy to hook up, I just plugged it into a breadboard and ran wires directly to power, ground, and I/O. This board also has visible LEDs tied to the data line so you can be confident that your program is sending or could be receiving data. Thanks to the Arduino IRremote library on GITHUB I was able to decode the signals that were working on the old remote and figure out the pattern to replicate the missing buttons.

IR Tx & Rx Modules Work With Arduino Without Complications
Installed both on Arduino Uno. Attach Arduino power and ground to the appropriate pins and then connect third pin to an Arduino input or output as appropriate. No additional circuitry required.
