I live in a coastal area with severe weather and high winds. My flagpole is up to the task but the original plastic mounting rings were not. I replaced those with these, which are perfect for my needs. These are well made and solid metal. The spinning mechanism works perfectly and installation only took a few minutes (with easy-to-understand instructions).These saved me from having to replace the entire flagpole. A simple and cost-effective fix.

I was impressed by the quality It is well made and the rotating rings are very smooth. They have a hefty feel.However the flag still wraps around our pole. We mount our pole at 45 degrees upward. At that angle the wind does not hit the flag evenly along the edge so it wraps, starting at the upper part.As a test I will rotate my mount so the pole is horizontal. Then I will see if it works that way. Because of the shape of our house the flag fits better at an angle. But I will keep it horizontal if it means I don’t have to untangle it several times a day.We flew our flag for the entire Independence Day weekend and we will fly it for a few more days to see how it works.Value for money:good quality, good product idea, reasonable price.EDIT: I said this didn’t when the is angled up. I was completely wrong about that. I needed to adjust the bottom clamp so there was a little more slack in the flag. I did that a couple of days ago and the flag has not wrapped around the pole even.I originally gave this product 5 stars because it is well made. These clamps deserve 5 stars and I am very happy with them.

I love these things. 3rd set I've bought over the years. If I fly a flag, I only use these. I trash whatever comes with the pole and only use these. The first set I bought about 5 years ago flys a flag 24/7 365 in all elements imaginable and still works like day one. These are the only thing I've ever used that allows flags to fly freely without getting wrapped up around the pole all the time.

Our current flagpole that we have kept looping around the pole, and I kept having to unload it around the poll. This became an everyday chore, so I decided to purchase these rings for the flagpole. Our neighborhood is a little bit on the windy side. They were easy to put onto the flagpole. They were easy to adjust the flag. Still does loop around the flagpole, but not as bad. They’re very sturdy. They have good quality. I accidentally dropped it and it was adorable and they worked very well.

Installed on in-ground flagpole. My advice is to secure the top ring, then slide the bottom ring onto the pole but don’t tighten it yet.Attach the flag to the clips, then once the flag is attached slide the bottom ring to a position that doesn’t stretch the flag too tightly then secure the ring.If the flag is too taut it causes too much friction on the rings and they won’t be free to spin as well.It has worked great, so far on the breeziest of days the flag does not get tangled.Well made and sturdy.

I almost bought a new flagpole but my existing flag pole itself is fine. It took me about five minutes or less to figure out and then install these flag holders on my Florida State flag. It all worked out great; perfect size was chosen. I hope they will be rust resistant and durable here in these Florida winds... If anything changes, I’ll update this page.

As far as being sturdy. Yes they are metal rings that replace the plastic originals. As far as the flag not spinning and wrapping around the pole. Not so much as you can see in the photo. Not a very windy day yet the top ring does not swivel enough to stop the flag from getting wrapped around the pole as claimed in the description.
