An overwhelming amount of my soapers love these. However, I have had a few less then positive feedbacks regarding inconsistent planing or beveling. These like the wood versions work with your hand pressure. If you apply inconsistent pressure your result will be a inconsistent plane or bevel. Please Allow 5 Business Days from Purchase to Ship Date No more hassles with oiling metal blades or replacing them! My Acrylic Planer uses a sharp edge of the acrylic as a blade. This edge will last for years! If and when it dulls simply use a nail file to hone the edge again. I've been using the same piece of acrylic to scrap barcode stickers off my lumber and it's been 3+ years and still sharp. There is a 45 degree support on the left hand side that runs all the away across for beveling. Please note that the two side support pieces are sanded smooth so they are seamless and will have a milky appearance (which will not effect use) instead of see-through. Planer area is 5.5" Planing Depth is 1/16" Bevel Depth 1/16" Clean up is a cinch...just run under hot water. (you can't do that with a wooden one) Best when used with soap that is firm but not fully cured. Soap too soft will smear. Soap to cured can become brittle and break apart. Consistent pressure which might take a little practice required.
