Arcor Ul1015 Commercial Wire, Spooled, Red, 22 AWG, 0.0253" Diameter, 100' Length (Pack of 1)

I bought this wire for various electronic projects around the house. I mostly use it with things that are controlled by my Arduino.It is a bright red color which makes it incredibly easy to see despite its small size. The wire is not a solid core, and it is not advertised as solid core wire (so don't buy this thinking it will be really easy to plug into a breadboard). It is standard braided wire with nice thick insulation. The insulation and wire are both very easy to cut through yet durable enough to not break easily. I have not had any issues soldering this wire.The wire works great and I have not had any problems with it at all. I will be buying more whenever I run out.

I bought this with the intention of twisting into cable. That's impossible with the incredibly thick insulation. Really, the wire is at least 90% insulation. When you get it, and hold it, it's almost comical.I feel weird complaining about it, because usually, more insulation is a good thing. Especially in high voltage applications. But since this is thin 22awg wire, you are most likely using it for logic, in which case, you need more than one wire... and that becomes a problem.I can't think of any use I could ever come up with for this wire so I returned it.

I bought this product for use with HO scale model trains. It unfortunately was not flexible enough due for what I needed due to some thick insulation. I am sure I will find a use for it somewhere. You can never have enough wire!

Just as expected. It is flexible enough despite being a hair thicker than what I expected, although it did the job perfectly and it fitted just fine through the already crowded small holes in my bass guitar. And yes, it is copper. Coated copper to be precise. The coating is silver color, but as soon as you sand or scrape the strands you'll see copper. It's copper. Copper.

Insulation is thicker than expected. It makes the wire seem larger than the AWG rating. However, it is still 22 AWG. Other than that the wire is fine.

I received product and the packaging looked as if someone had opened it prior to shipping and removed some of the product. The wire was not wound correctly on the spool. I had also purchased a roll of black wire in addition to the red and compared the two rolls. It was apparent the roll of red did not have the 100 feet worth of wire as advertised. To confirm this I cut the wire into the 5 foot sections I needed for the my project. I had 16-5 foot sections plus an extra 3 feet section of red for a total of 83 feet. The roll of black was also short 7 inches. Would not recommend this product unless you are not planning on using the entire lengh.

Great quality wire. Super flexible and heavy duty insulation. The product shipped was not exactly as pictured but was actually better that what is pictured.
