Memory Jars Hardcover – Picture Book, May 25, 2021

With such great illustrations, every page is a delight. The story is so interesting and unique, my daughter could not wait to turn to next page. Easy to read and narrate, it is a perfect bed time story.

This book is one of the best read alouds for the end of the school year! The message behind it is so sweet. The storyline, illustrations, and words are so powerful! After reading this book we did a memory jar craft with all of the memories of 1st grade this year!

I read this story with my 4th Graders on Monday of the last week of school. It served as a great conversation starter for all of the amazing memories that we shared as a classroom family throughout the school year. I then showed them our own classroom memory jar (a large mason jar) & invited each of them to add a small object, drawing, or written memory. Every morning throughout that last week I had students share what object, picture, or story they brought in & tell us what it meant to them.I plan to make this a yearly tradition & told this year’s students that whenever they come & visit our classroom, we can look through our memory jar together.

This book made me tear up a little

This was a great end of the year book and for teaching gratitude. Afterwards, my class and I created our own memory jars from the year. Great quality book and binding- will last.

Sweet story about savoring memories. I read it to my grandchildren, then we made memory jars.

This is such a cute book! I can't wait to read this to my 2nd grade students and create our own memory jars!

I agree with the lower ratings of this book. As a retired early childhood teacher, the premise of the lesson sounded wonderful. However, the actual lesson really isn't clear after reading the book.
