We keep this one as a spare, for when our other one (in chrome) has been emptied in to our larger (outside) composter and is in the dishwasher. Love that it keeps the smell at bay and we can keep it in the house a little longer (than our previous method) before we have to take it outside to our larger one. There is a silicone seal that seals it nicely to keep the bugs away, too! Yes, I recommend using this - it is a great way to re-use those extra food scraps (in our future gardens) and keep them from contributing to the smell and filling up our landfill with rotten nastiness.

I love this cute compost bucket. It sits by my sink and isn't too big or bulky. The lid has a seal so smells don't escape and I haven't had the problem others have had with the seal coming off. I don't smoosh the lid down though, just place it on top. It still keeps smells in and bugs out. And I really put it to the test, putting a moldy onion and some other various half rotten veggies in it! No smell in my house! And I love the liner. I've not had the handle come off like others said and it's nice to be able to scrub it down really well after each use.

I would of give it a 5 stars if the handle of the bucket was falling off every time we pull it out of the container... but overall it’s a great product! No issue with flies or leaks. It holds all our kitchen scraps of the week and we do the run to our big composter on the weekend.
