ADC Adscope 618 Pediatric

I work with kids at a children's hospital and this stethoscope is great!! The kids love to look at it and it always brings a smile to their face, making assessments easier to complete, espcially on the "wild ones" LOL. The little pop on faces are adorable and stay in place. I clean it before and after each use with Clorox wipes. The bleach has had NO effect on the product. This stethoscope's sound quality is just as good as my Littman Cardiology I used when I cared for adults. The ear pieces are VERY comfortable and allow for great listening. Great buy, I get lots of comments and compliments on this at work. I am asked "where did you buy that" almost daily! A must have for anyone who works with kids. Great buy for the quality and the price! Thank you ADSCOPE!

It’s really nice and exactly as described and just like images portrayed. My friend whom I got it for that’s a doctor… all her patients compliment it and tells her it’s really cute.

Exceeded my expectations. I am very impressed with both sound and quality. The stethoscope s soft, light weight, and acoustics are excellent. The ear pieces are comfortable and the whole unit is easy to clean. The little animal faces are easy to change but are very secure too. Great buy, and very economical. I had a Littman go missing and bought this as an affordable replacement. I was shocked when I could not perceive any difference in sound quality between this and my Littman.

Great quality and super adorable. I'm a Pediatric ICU nurse and this works excellent on my little ones. On some of the larger, almost adult sized kiddos though, this doesn't quite do the trick. Overall though, I don't have any issues with sound quality. Material wise, the interchangeable animals is so awesome. I'm in love. It helps with my assessments for some of the fussier ones which is partly why I got it. I'd give it five stars if only I the tubing didn't become almost sticky in texture from sanitizing it with the alcohol pads and the sanitizing wipes we have at work. It tends to pull a but in loose hairs when around my neck and the color from my scrubs has worn into the material. No amount of cleaning thus far had removed it. If you know how to remove the stains please let me know in a comment on this review. Overall this is a really great stethoscope I highly recommend for pedi nurses out there.

Love it!! Just got it in the mail. It’s too cute and seems to be very good quality for the price. Tested it out on my two big doggos and could hear just fine. It’s very light weight which I love cause other stethoscopes hurt my neck by the end of the day.

Great for little ones but tube is already discolored in sections after a few weeks - giving a "dirty/ unclean" look even though it's always wiped down. Kids love the characters.. . Especially when the frog "hops" around to listen....

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend who is a nurse. She recently got a new job at a pediatric clinic was really excited, so I was looking for a gift that was fitting.... and this was perfect!!! I was looking at a lot of products-- animal name tags, plastic animal covers, fabric covers for the tube, etc. I really liked this but was concerned as to how well it would work. Lets be honest, it looks kind of childish, so I was hoping that for the price, it would be an effective set of ears and not just a very expensive toy.... THEY TOTALLY WORK!!! It's been a few weeks now and she loves it-- and so do the kids. Its covered in stickers and she makes animal sounds when she goes to bring the bell up. It's not as accurate or sensitive as the Littman cardiologic 2 I use, but, lets be honest, it doesn't have to be. For doing basic vitals, heart/lung sounds, and the occasional murmur, it's perfectly adequate. Also, you should know that the tube is EXTRA long. We ended up cutting off about 8" to make it a more normal length. Personally, I think it's a plus since you can size it to yourself. I'm an EMT in medical school and so I've got plenty of experience with picking a stethoscope.
