Sram Road Hoods for Doubletap Levers Hood Pair (One Pair), Black

Bought these to fit to the Force shifters on my CX bike after taking a spill which ripped one of the hoods almost in two. The texturing is a little different to the originals, but I would suggest that's just a change in moulding over the few years since my shifters were built.Fitting is easy enough. They obviously require quite a lot of stretching in order to get them in place, but that's how it should be. Once they're on, they sit snuggly. If you're struggling, I've found a bit of heat + some alcohol to let them slide over makes a huge difference! I've never had issues with SRAM hoods, the Shimanos tend to be tighter.I'm really pleased with them and will happily buy again if I need to.

I got this product as a replacement for my 2014 Force 22 shifters, but they don't fit quite as snug as the original. They're just marginally too loose around the lever. The end result is that they don't look perfectly straight.However, functionally they are great. They're comfortable. They cover the inner working of the lever fine. Even though they're not a prefect fit, they fit well enough that there is no need to adjust them once they're on.They've held up well over long cycle tours and many months of being outside. Solid product.

I have Sram Red from 2008 and these hoods fit perfectly. Initially bought some hoods described as Red/Red 22 but the hoods are completely different shapes. If you have Sram Red 10 speed then these are the hoods for you

They fit perfectly on my Sram Apex - Infact, they're identical! but they do not look like the ones in this picture, the picture is wrong! - Google sram apex, look at those hoods, they're plain all round. Good though, quite pricey.

Pros: Fits well on my double tap Sram Force 22. Value for money. Easy to change/fit.Cons: could have been more comfortable to grip on.
