Fitbit Flex Accessory Band, Slate, Large

My old band fell apart so ordered this brand name replacement band. Fits well.

This band is a bit lighter in color than I had desired and expected based on the product image, but I've gotten used to the lighter color. Hopefully the photo I'm including with the review helps show closer to what the actual color is. The band also struggles to snap into place when you first get it, but once it's in place, it feels very secure. Guessing it will loosen up a bit once I've had it a few months. I've had this for a few weeks now and it's already holding up much better than the knockoff brand bands, which are discolored and starting to fray a little bit by this point normally, so I would definitely say it's worth the price premium to get the real deal here.

Review for slate color: I had high hopes for a real Fitbit band. Just opened it up and I can't even get the clasps to fit through the holes to put it on. It is as if the holes are too small for the clasps to fit in. Hopefully it was one bad one. I will try again with the black color and update. Update: Black one works like a charm. Closed securely, looks great.

But we've all noticed these bands just don't last long enough, right? And are WAY overpriced. But if you use an off brand (other than fitbit) your tracker will stop working, I think from water damage. So spend the money.

This is a poorly designed wrist strap using substandard materials. I bought my Fitbit Flex in August. By mid-November, the metal clasp came loose and was lost. Fortunately the band itself was still in my sleeve. By mid-December, the band's soft rubber was separating from the hard plastic, risking the loss of the tracker itself.
