Replacement Control Pod Compatible for Logitech Z-5300 5.1-Channel Surround Computer Sound Speaker System

my original control pod had the volume knob stop working. this replacement worked instantly and has a more compact and sleek style than the original. if the only thing wrong with your speakers is the control pod, this is certainly better than buying all new speakers.

This item replaced a dead controller for 5300 of which you cannot purchase anymore new. For some reason, what I consider the best sounding system, Logi decided to stop making a long time ago. This fit perfectly, looks really good, and functions the same as the old controller. It does look different, but has all the same functionality and options. Would highly recommend.

Works great, got my speakers back up and going... so I love that as I've had them almost for 2 decades and REALLY didn't want to get rid of the system. ... Cord is a bit longer than the original, so that's nice; and it has connectors at both ends so it's easily extended if you want, even better. ... ... buuuut... it's not as loud as the original. I don't know if they didn't scale the signals it sends to the base right or what, but it's just not as loud. LEDs look a little weird too.

Took a chance and bought the subwoofer from a thrift store with no control. Looked into hacking the subwoofer but seemed to be more of a pain in the butt than worth it. Saw this on Amazon and purchased, hooked up some speakers for the front/rears and the control - worked as advertised, no problems!

Fairly good replacement for a Logitech 5300 control pod that froze on me. Functionally it does the job. Found a couple cosmetic items that will need to be addressed. Pros: Fairly low cost solution for a broken or missing control pod. All functions are available (Volume, Sub, Fader, Center, Matrix, Headphone jack, Power). I like the led color choices. Volume indicator and selector is blue. Matrix is green and red. They are fairly bright. Cons: Plastic case feels cheap. Will need to deburr a few spots on the case. Not a fan of the gap between the case and the plug. My matrix led is wired incorrectly. On is red and Off is green, those should be reversed. I am giving this product 3 stars. Correct the case burrs and the reversed lighting, it would be 4 stars. Replace the case with something a bit more premium, it would be 5 stars. If you need a replacement control pod for the 5300, it does the job.

If anyone like me here still have an old Logitech z5300 and may be experiencing control pod freezes or certain channels with low volume, than this is one of the problems.. this newly revised one is more compact, feels better built, blue lighting looks better than the originals. So far working much better than my older one when it was working. Response is much more responsive. A++++ product. Highly recommended...

After many years of service, one day I had no sound out of my Z-5300 speakers. Multiple lights were lit all over the control, but nothing worked when I pressed the buttons. I had started to search for a new speaker system when I stumbled on this controller. So I took a chance and ordered it. It plugged right in and my system was back and good as new. The controls are sort of backwards from the original controller. It is smaller than the big controller that originally came with the system. The colored LEDs are a nice touch. The only bad thing I can say about it is that its less aesthetically pleasing with the large connector plugged into the back of it. But hey, it works!!

This is a tidy, compact, intuitive remote that duplicates all of the features of the original in a package that is smaller, more ergonomic, more durable, and more aesthetically pleasing than the one that came with my 5.1 system.

Was happy to buy this and replace the original remote that didn't work anymore. However, after about 4 months of usage, the microphone jack could only get sound from one side.
