I bought this not knowing if it would be good, great, or useless. The first time I tried it, I was like...wow, this feels really good! This is a great stretch!I'm an instructor in a taekwondo school, so I then took the Si-Stretcher to our school and let some of the other instructors try it out. They all had the same reaction: "We need to encourage our students to buy this -- this is seriously good."It's hard to explain in words why this feels so good for stretching: it's not at all elastic -- not at all -- so as you tighten the buckles it pulls your legs into place and just hold them there, steady. So you just keep tightening, keep tightening, keep tightening...little by little. I think it's the fact that it's not at all elastic that actually makes it feel BETTER than stretching bands -- a lot better. It's much, much easier to relax into the stretch with this item. Plus, the ergonomics of the thing pulls the top of your feet back when you're stretching into a center split, which seems to take all the pressure off your knees -- you're feeling the stretch only in the groin, where you should be feeling it.The price is right too. It's a much less expensive alternative to more expensive products that don't do as good a job. Definitely 5 stars. This is a winner.

While stretching, the locking mechanism came apart. Didn't break, but the plastic that is used no longer allows me to stretch further without it releasing. These brackets should of been made with better material..

Got this to improve my high kicks. I will say due to the way it symmetrically spreads the legs apart, it clears up a lot of imbalances. I’ve developed some hip impingement from “cheating” my splits and the si-stretcher has completely alleviated it which is a huge plus. There’s a lot of versatility to be had with this, however their is a learning curve for certain stretches (look up YouTube tutorials). My only gripe is I wish they could somehow incorporate a more durable clip such as metal, as I fear the plastic will wear out over time. Overall for the price, portability, and versatility it’s a must have for any mma practitioner.

This works exactly as specified, there is a learning curve and you have to get use to the bend knees, pull strap, stretch the groin mechanics. The old strap with the larger back support would be a better option for first timers though.
