MW Polar Seafood, Whole Baby Clams, 10-Ounce (Pack of 12) (2120)

The most tender clams I can find , my local stores stopped carrying them , but thank goodness Amazon has them !!

I bought this 12-can clam set cuz 70% iron per 3oz, & to make my own version of instant clam chowder.But the clams were so good, I just ate them right out of the can. Briny, a little sand, tender tender tender tender tender.. I couldn't help but think of whoever scraped the clam out of the shell..yes, they are that fresh.I love Polar Seafood, & buy their mackerel by the 12-can, also.I really didn't expect these baby clams to be any good, but they are spectacular.Make instant clam chowder w powdered mashed potatoes, cilantro or parsley, garlic onion salt butter pepper (the clams are salty enuf), powdered milk, Etc; your liquid will be the can + extra water for the desired thickness. Keep dry & wet ingredients separate until the liquid is hot, but not boiling; then, pour wet into dry, stir to desired thickness.YESSSSS I love these clams, thank you, God!I dictated this review; I hope there aren't too many typos. The title says it: good flavor, fresh aroma. Canned clams can never come close to fresh ones, but a bit of olive oil, a few cloves of garlic and a bunch of fresh parsley (and an optional shot of vermouth and a pat of butter) make a damn good quick clam sauce, and these are better than other brands I've tried.

I feel loyal to this brand because the clams are always so good! We are from California and I think that makes us like good food.

These canned baby clams are price right.They also give you two years shelve time to 2022. But many of the cans came dented. Wonder why?

Really good price and a good product, I have bought this product many times over the years. Their pricing is a very good value.

I have used these clams for both New England and Manhattan chowders. Not too salty, nice clam flavor, and good clam to broth ratio. A few had a little bit of sand, but less that expected.They are tender and I suggest recipes where you add the broth early and the clams only at the very end so they don't get tough. My family loved both soups. I will buy again---though 12 cans package does last for a while. I don't make clam chowder every month. I used 3 cans for soup for family of six.
