Three years have passed since Unheilig's last studio album. In between, the Count and his band summed up the last 15 years Unheilig on a work show, the first Best Of Album of the long career. Now finally a completely new studio album appears! It is the eighth and bears the name "Gipfelstürmer". The new songs also follow a thematic concept. The stunning and rugged world of the mountains forms the content framework for the themes of the songs. Of course, without neglecting the emotional sides of life and continuing to perfect his very style, the Count has used the longer writing break to wrap his pictures, thoughts and dreams into new exciting stories. "Gipfelstürmer" is additionally available as a limited 2CD version in digipack (including bonus CD with unreleased production demos) and as Ltd. Special fan edition with the limited 2CD version in digipack, triple 10 inch vinyl (180g), an individual piece of the Unheilig stage banner of the Best Of-Tournee, a DIN A1 poster, a large sticker, button and postcard set.

Gipfelsturmer is yet another sincere, beautiful body of work.
Unheilig 'meaning free of all.' Unheilig has so much beautiful music. It's unlike anything I've ever heard, especially living in the states. The melody of the music and Der Graf's voice is nothing short of enchanting. It's like he was sent here to remind us of the meaning of life and what's important and the universal way to do that, is through music. If you don't understand German, you'll have to look up the English translations. Many of the lyrics are heart breaking and I'm glad I understand very little German so I don't often think about the meaning when I listen, other wise, I'd be emo all the time :'( This review is really for all of their albums. A track off Gipfelsturmer, 'Alles Hat Seine Zeit,' Everything Has it's Time, is a message that this will sadly be, the last offering from Unheilig.I like how Der Graf was confident in his own voice and took very little voice lessons, how he never felt the need to constantly change his image like others do, how he never used his personal life to get attention and how he was shy to sing in front of people but found the strength to do it.
