Q: Does it give a violet bus to hair?

No, it does not add any voilet hue to hair. Although the color of the product is purple, it just tones down the warm orange to ash-tone in my highlights when used in shower.

Q: I have naturally brassy/yellow blonde hair. Will this help to take some of that yellow/brassiness away?

Q: Would this help keep gray dyed hair gray

It is a nice shampoo but did not help maintain my Ashe Blonde hair (with gray undertones). I had to switch to a more purple colored shampoo to remove the brassy hair tones.

Q: I have blue "highlights" from Manic Panic and naturally blonde hair. Will this damage my highlights?

I am not sure what this will do to blue highlights. I use it after coloring my hair to reduce the brassiness in my blonde hair. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
