Very good value. Works well if you set up carefully. 3rd of this model I've had
Bought for a rural location Jan 2025 and working perfectly (is is now end of May 2025).You DO need to follow the setup instructions very carefully. Once setup properly they work extremely well. Good detection, and good range to inside alarm unit.I've had two very similar alarms before - the sender/receiver are pretty much identical to the other models. I suspect that it's the same manufacturer, but just rebranded. I installed the first one in 2018. Over the years the previous ones have failed. However, this doesn't surprise me - they are in a very exposed location and take a beating from the sun and rain. I suspect that eventually there is some water ingress and the circuits die. Average lifespan of mine so far is just over 3 years. However, for the functionality and price they are more than worth it and I'm happy to replace every few years. The only downside of this latest one is that the alarm sounds on the inside unit and tinny and low quality. They are plenty loud enough but just not very pleasant. However there are loads to choose from so you can choose the 'least worst'. Note that in my experience the new indoor unit is NOT compatible with the older receiver units (they work occasionally but miss most alerts) - the newer one works fine - you just have to accept the sound choices...Note that the batteries tend to fail first and can be replaced. To do this you need:1) 3 of 14500J Lithium Ion 3.2V rechargeable batteries. 500mAh capacity or higher. Note that they look like AA but aren't - you must get 3.2V 14500J size. There are 3 of them in total (receiver takes 2, transmitter takes 1).2) A long, narrow shafted PH1 (small Philips) screwdriver as the screws are quite deep set in the casing. I use a 'Stanley Fat Max Screwdriver Pozidrive Pz1 X 250Mmm-Black'. It's way longer than required, but critically the shaft is thin enough and I've found it useful for other applications so a good additional to my toolbox!

Good purchase with one issue
Good range and minimal false alarms as you can set the sensors at any height you choose. Solar powered and we have one in a shady position but it still functions properly. Big negative is the potential to expand the system. Even though the product information says you can add expand the coverage by adding additional sensors to your system its very hard to do this as this company do not sell them!!!!! I emailed them and asked where I can buy them and there is a UK company that supply them BUT they cost a lot more money. It works out nearly £50 cheaper to buy the complete system again from amazon than trying to buy 2 additional sensors which is ridiculous. So I'd recommend the system if you only want to protect one area of your property but don't buy it thinking you can expand it easily to cover another area. Real shame as its a very reliable and useful product.

You need this !
I installed this and had it working in an hour. Incredibly easy to set up and no configuration needed. Because of where I installed the sensors I wasn’t able to use the peep holes as viewfinders to align them but I came up with a better solution. I fixed one sensor to the wall and then I threaded elastic thread through its peephole and tied it off. Then I ran the thread over to where the other sensor needed to be and threaded it through that sensor’s peephole and tied it off. Then I used a spirit level to ensue the thread was level between the sensors and that gave me the fixing point for the second sensor. That solved the vertical alignment and the lcd display readout makes finding the horizontal alignment dead easy.Great product and excellent value.!!

Works well
Reasonably easy to set up especially with the helpful comments left by other purchasers here.We have 400m as the crow flies but plenty of bushes, trees, fencing posts and even earth banks between the two points. We did have a bit of random alerting when the receiver was behind a thick stone wall in the cottage but once placed on a window sill, it's consistent. Some of the sounds are a bit irritating or tinny but there are plenty to choose from and as this is a farm, we went for the rooster which is quite realistic and adds a comical touch without making anyone jump.

Works well
3 days in and all working well, no false alarms, easy to set up. Great replacement for an old Dakota alert

Terrible
The receiver took a while to turn on and I think was buggy, then when I got it set up, the alarm only sounded half the time someone walked through it. You had to stand in the middle for it to sense someone, and anyone walking through at a quick pace isn't going to be detected. Useless.

Great Product - Badly let down by appalling alarm system
I have used this system for years and they are brilliant. No false alarms (unless the gate blows a bit in the wind) and good distance coverage. Unfortunately, this one does not receive 5* as the alarm system is as cheap and nasty as they come. The alarm noises are tinny, very repetitive and long and really quite horrible. I tried matching my existing alarm, a Dakota Alert, unfortunately they are not compatible. Such a shame as the alarm noise really lets it down.
