I've only recently started my adventure into miniature painting, GW models specifically. Having bought one of 'Start painting' boxes where you get three minis and some paints. I started off quite gleefully but quickly realised the included paints would produce a very poorly detailed end result. I started looking at the GW kits for extra paints and Amazon's algorithm kicked in, displaying this beauty.To get this number of paints, plus a brush that has the GW name plastered on them would cost twice as much! I am so glad I bought these. There's a great variation of colours in here, allowing me to paint my Plague Marines much closer to the picture in my head (well, if I was any good that is...). The dropper bottles are far superior to the lidded pots that came with the 'Start Painting' set too. They allow me complete control when it comes to the amount of paint I want to use, so not only do you get more paints in this kit than the GW kits, they're likely to last you longer as well thanks to the dropper bottles.I'm still just starting to lean into this hobby so I'm finding plenty of stages where I'm saying to myself, 'Well I need that now, and these paints, and that spray base coat'. I will not hesitate to buy Grinning Gargoyle paints in the future, I think they're great value and great quality too, I'm very happy with the finish these paints are producing!

I bought this paint set on a whim because I couldn’t be arsed to pay the insane prices for GW paint (Games workshop) which for the amount you get is really not worth it, however after using this set extensively for painting Necrons and other mini products I’ve come to appreciate how well this paint performs on both resin and plastic, you even get what I like to call “liquid skill” AKA: flesh wash & strong tone which is essentially just Nuln oil that GW sells it is in the bottles with the red bottles, it outlines small areas and creases and makes them darker which adds a shadow effect to your models. Detail.These paints came especially useful when painting the Grim reaper model I have (which is my new favourite) in short if you want great paint for any tabletop model or even display pieces, (DONT BUY GW)

My first time using this kind of paint, so cant compare to other model painting paints. What i can comment on is that i was amazed at the strength of the colours, a little went a long way and gave great coverage. Also found them really easy to thin down with a drop of water or mix with another colour. Another couple of drops of water and I could use then as a wash. Really happy with the selection of colours too. So five stars because I cant find anything to complain about.

This is an excellent starter kit for anyone starting out or even getting back into miniature painting such as myself. I purchased this set to paint the miniatures for my Star Wars Imperial Assault game. They are really nice paints and the dropper bottles are superb. The coverage is great and the paint sticks to the surface of the miniatures well. I recently got back into Gaslands and have been using this paint to customise some old Hotwheels cars too. I am planning on expanding the range as soon as I can. The washes are great too and leave a really nice tone. Highly recommend.

I've had this set for a while now and absolutely love it, I was worried I wouldn't have all the colours I need but you have everything and more in this kit once you start mixing. Love the colours as well, great selection for 40k, also the included brush is quite nice.

Overall great paints with excellent range, however the ultramarine blue is quite pale.

These paints are versatile and are a good choice for someone who wants to paint a range of colour schemes on their models 10/10 will shop again

Excellent selection of paints. Only complaint would be both the metallic gold and silver were kind of leaking and the nozzle and cap are now covered in it. Still good amount in the tube though. Would recommend this set to anyone.
