DJI Mini 2 Care Refresh (1 Year) - VIP service plan for DJI Mini 2, Up to Two Replacement within 12 Months, Fast Support, Crash and Water Damage Coverage, Activated within 48 Hours

After receiving a DJI Mavic Mini2 over Christmas I discovered that DJI offered this 2 year package. After reading some of the reviews here I was hesitant in purchasing it from Amazon as well as the photo of the card was an EU edition. I contacted DJI to confirm this was the correct card and they did providing me with a list of all the countries the card covered (UK was included). The Mini 2 was purchased in the UK from a different supplier. I waited to activate the Mini 2 until I received the refresh card and activated the card first BEFORE activating the Mini2. Everything worked as it should and I now have peace of mind, for £30 a year!

Excellent buy, must have because YOU will crash your drone, service from DGI was very good too

In theory it’s great idea. The company supports you up to 2 years so in theory you buy a piece of mind, but in practice it’s a subject to many caveats. Yes, if you crash your drone with a wall and send it back to the company you will get a new drone (some fees applies), but shouldn’t it be covered by warranty? The drone has anti collision sensors. Surely there are extreme situations like crashing with a bird, thunder etc. but the probability of the event is very low. The drone by definition is for shooting from the distance, but here is a catch. If your drone lost its signal and won’t return to home before the battery drains, or collide over the water and the drone is gone in inaccessible places then you can’t claim another drone since you need to send back the original one. It’s cheaper to buy a regular insurance for a drone and be covered for many years.An another problem is the Mavic system. There is no single place you can check the status of your drone/account services. For care refresh you need to submit code first to check eligibility, so if you had purchased care service last year and you forgot about this, then you can’t return extended care. Also if you get a care Service already, you can’t buy 2 years care, so be careful.

Totally useless, as I can no longer use this!!! Meaning I can buy car insurance at anytime, drone insurance from DJI is somewhat different! Total waste of money

The drone has been working great. The 2 Years Care Refresh was a waste of money though. Rather than coming activated with the product, it comes separately and requires activation. I was too excited setting up the drone so when I got round to activating the Care Refresh, the time had already expired. They only give you 48 Hours to activate otherwise your money is just gone. Really stupid policy considering I'd bought the two at the same time.

Only works if you buy it before buying your drone and activate it on the day you turn your drone on.

This is saying it is not for my drone I have a DJI mini 2 which is the one I brought it is saying it is for a euro version

if you search for Mini 2 care refresh this comes up But it's only for the Manick Mini NOT MINI2.
