keeps air outside air out, and inside air in.
great for windows that have a portable air conditioner panel on the bottom seal. plus they are white and match the window trim and window pane grates! i have two windows with heat pump/ac for all season climate control. highly recommend.

Excellent way to dampen door slams
Put this in to deal with housemates slamming doors early in the morning and it is perfect for this purpose. The width is just the right size to stick to the lip that stops the door shut

Good product at a fair price
Used this to help sound deaden an interior office door frame to allow the hollow door to close without an abrupt rattle sound when making contact with the door stop. I stuck this right along the internal door stop strip all along the frame on the knob side and top. Worked perfectly and further helped additional sound penetration through the gapping tolerances. Price was favorable and fair and would buy again if I ever needed this for the same application. Not sure how long it will last or if its cushion effect will lesson or if the protective adhesive covering on the exposed side will fall off in the future but suspect it will be fine long term.

Finally, No Draft!
We have a hundred-year-old, drafty house. I bought this to insulate our insanely drafty back door, which opens into an unheated mudroom. I had tried putting various types on insulations along the door stop, but the door was finicky. With the insulation applied, the deadbolt wouldn't latch without some heavy-duty doorknob pulling, and the doorknob isn't that sturdy to begin with. Trim off just enough for the deadbolt to operate better, and back comes the draft. I wasted a lot of several kinds of tape trying to make it work. Enter this foam tape...I closed the door and applied the tape along the doorframe against the door, getting it as tight as I could. Some spots, the door hits the stop, others it is almost 3/8" away--this tape bridged those gaps perfectly. It worked like a charm, and has stayed 100% in place for the past few months. Our doorframe is about 100 years old and coated in god knows how many coats of paint. I wiped it down/made sure it was dry before applying the tape, but didn't do anything special in the way of surface preparation. It's not the prettiest, as the foam is very visible from the mudroom side, but the white blends in to the white doorframe pretty well, and I'll take a warmer house and a lower heating bill over aesthetics any day!

A few cons...
I bought this to put behind my lose blinds so they aren't so noisy when someone opens and closes our back door. It was a good idea but not when you receive something different. The photo shows theIs product is 3/4" thick. It arrives 1 1/4" thick. So that was a bummer. The picture doesn't match the description. This was easily fixed by cutting the product lengthwise to be the correct thickness.Another issue I noticed was that this product shrinks after being installed. I had stuck it along the door last night and placed it correctly and evenly. Then today it had shrunk up 3 inches. I had to go back and cut more to go to the edge of the window in my door. The stickiness also isn't so great. Once you stick it once, don't move to try and restick it or it may not stay. The product also rotates from one side to the other depending on the stickiness of the tape.Overall it worked for what I wanted but I had to adjust the product to meet my needs since the picture is not as described.

Not closed cell
Received the wrong width twice. States on package for marine use. It is not closed cell and absorbs water and becomes useless. Probable ok for sealing out air.
