Reef Tank Usage
I've used Pond Matrix in the sump of my 30 gallon cube with a heavy bio load. It definitely helps with my nitrate levels over time.

Reduced Flow Rate in Canister Filter
Good media, reduces flow rate in canister filter (Fluval 306) and seems to get clogged easily. Rinsed regularly but wasn't very happy with results. Shifted over to the new Fluval Bio-FX with better results.

didnt help lower nitrates
after about six weeks my nitrates are still just as high even doing 30-40% weekly water changes. I have several african cyclids in a 65 gal tank.
