Sizzix Thinlits Die 665201 Perspective Butterfly by Tim Holtz, Multicolor

I love this die. This is the most beautiful die yet. I used the sandwich as instructed on the die package with black construction paper and ran it thru my Sizzix Switch 3 passes (although it appeared ready at 2) and the pieces just fell out. Then tried (with waxed paper) duct tape on copy paper and found the duct tape was just too sticky, although the waxed paper did indeed make it fall out of the very intricate die. Wonderful and beautifully executed.

I love this die! It works with 140 pound watercolor paper even in a Spellbinder Platinum die cut machine if you are willing to run it through the machine many times. I like to use acrylic paint or watercolor paint on this butterfly, and so I like to use extra sturdy cardstock. Like I said, you have to run it through the Spellbinder a lot, but the butterfly is gorgeous when it comes out, and it's 6 inches by 5 inches when it comes out.

I am new to die cutting. This is one of my first purchased wafer dies. It is a large die with intricate detail so be aware of this if you require a more basic shape. It is a gorgeous lacey butterfly design which can be used whole for certain projects or partially because it is very large for a standard A2 card front. I would recommend also getting the Sizzix tools to punch out the die cut outs from the main shape. There is a foam pad, rolling brush and a die pick which is very handy to remove the pieces from the die cut. It does take time and patience with this particular die since there are so many interior cut outs.

Great quality die and spectacular die cut. You will need to either use the chrome precision plate or a thick-ish paper shim and/or dryer sheets or wax paper

The butterfly is well worth the money. Absolutely beautiful results with all types of paper. I’m going to buy another one for backup. Foiling looks gorgeous !!! The metal is strong and durable.

This is bigger than an A2 card and looks great angled. It is easy to weed after die cutting.
