Time and again I’ve bought sheet music that claims to be recorded or accurate versions that quite simply are notSometimes the tab notation might be technically correct, but what you want to hear when you play is something at least approaching the song you are trying to replicateWhat I love about this book, and this series, is that even though there are a number of skilled musicians involved in each song, the tabular notion provided means that when you play what’s written it sounds like its suppose toClearly tracks like Kashmir and others have a large amount of production associated with them that it’s difficult/impossible to recreate, but having said that playing what’s on the page sounds like the recordTop marks for whoever put this collection of work together and didn’t list the tab notation for guitars one through seven inclusive showing off their skills like doing guitar tab wheelies down the road and wrote down the essence of the songs and got it sounding rightLed Zeppelin II track 4

Sorti en 1975 , l`album n`a pas pris une ride , intemporel comme toutes les oeuvres majeures . Travail de production phénoménal , créativité protéiforme. Quatre musiciens dont la somme dépasse ce nombre. Une section rythmique à la fois puissante et nuancée ( un groove rock avec des polyrythmies et des signatures rythmiques de jazz ). des couches d`arrangements riches mais jamais boursouflées ( ce que l`on peut reprocher à certains albums progressifs ) . Jimmy Page n`a jamais cherché à être le plus rapide , sa technique toujours au service de l`émotion. Que dire de Robert Plant qui sublime chaque phrase et note. Je possédais déjà Celebration Day du même éditeur , et voulais absolument celui-ci , malgré je pensais quelques doublons. En fait pas tant que cela , les partitions diverges , parfois , rythmes , accords , incursions mélodiques. Un seul exemple : Kashmir , sur la version live le A du refrain est orné d`un Fa dièse ; le fade out s`estompe sur un A dans la partition studio , sur un G en live . Si j`avais eu cela entre les mains à l`été 1975 , avec mes connaissances "scolaires" de la guitare , peut-être aurais je moins cru que ces musiciens venaient d`une autre planète ( mais avec plus de doigts, que l`impossibilité de plier le petit ). Mais au final si quand même , bien que d`autres OVNI aient sillonné notre espace sonore depuis.

The transcription is brilliant. I wish it didn't have so many coda's etc. which make for a lot of flipping pages back and forth. Add that it doesn't sit nice on a music stand, or anywhere else for that matter; navigation is difficult. I added page number labels to the back song listing as it's faster than flipping to the table of contents. These books should have rings on the binding so they can be laid flat. I'd pay a few bucks more.

Molto utile, soprattutto considerando il tuning non standard di alcuni brani superlativi (e.g., Kashmir, Bron-Yr-Aur, In My Time of Dying).
