Guy Stuff Feelings: Everything you need to know about your emotions (American Girl® Wellbeing)

I got this for my son who started experiencing some strong feelings. I like that this book talked about how to manage your feelings and what they mean. It has images on all the pages if your child understands things better by visual learning.

Purchased this book for my 9 year old grandson. Whenever he is feeling some sort of way he finds a private place to read it. Great development book as boys transition into young men to have a better understanding on what's happening to there bodies and accept it

This is a great book. I got it for my son but have been reading it with my daughter. I feel like it applies to boys or girls. Great info on dealing with emotions.

I got this because the other book by the same author about physical changes from puberty was so good. Nothing too weird. Gets a little “opiniony” here and there but that’s to be expected in children’s books. Mostly just facts and as a mom who grew up without strong secular sex-ed I learned a lot too. Better to have the talk before mom isn’t cool anymore! I got it when he was 9 and we’ve reread it as changes happen. It’s straight to the point and reassuring. We talked about consent and put the book away when things got overwhelming or awkward but we made our way through and learned how to be more frank with each other and get difficult topics out in the open.

Parents tell me that they are looking at the book at their pace, parents are also helped by this info. Non-threatening with good illustrations.

This book has been SO helpful in talking to my son about his feelings. I have the other Guy Stuff Body book, so bought this one too. This book is a GREAT reference when you have a little one who is having trouble working out what they are feeling. Everything isn't just MAD. It has helped us both talk about hard feelings together and I have recommended it to lost of people we know.

Straight to the point, factual, and very age appropriate. My 11 year old enjoys it. There are enough words vs pictures to keep him engaged. Highly recommend for growing boys. We talk about things but this gives him a chance to read it on his own as well if he wants.

A good book for young boys to help with any discussion issues.
