Quality Set!
โ Who Would Buy This? ๐ญ Someone who wanted an 18 piece watercolor setโ What Do You Get? ๐ญ 18 Pcs Watercolors cake set with built-in Pallet, Brush and Metal Tinโ Did I like this? ๐ญ Yesโ Why? ๐ญ This is not the typical Crayola watercolor set. It comes with 18 very bright colors, apaint brushh, a metal tin, and two areas to mix colors. The water color is very thick and they blend well together. I have never see watercolors like this before but love them! The colors go on bright, and the quality is really good! I am very happy to add these to my paint set. The price is very competitive and is inline with others along this line. I would recommend this and would definitely buy again.Usability ๐๐๐๐๐ 5/5Quality ๐๐๐๐๐ 5/5Blendability ๐๐๐๐๐ 5/5Overall Value ๐๐๐๐๐ 5/5Pros:๐ All in one - portable๐ 18 bright colors๐ Quality MaterialsCons:โ Noneโช Product Review โข 18 Pcs Watercolors cake set with built-in Pallet, Brush and Metal Tin, cost abated for my opinionโช Company โข RapsilโชValue for moneyโข ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ Excellent!.If you found this review to be helpful, PLEASE click ๐ โYESโ.

Good watercolors for children, practicing or painting on a smaller scale.
As a part time artist, I was really excited to receive and try these watercolors. I painted two pictures using them; one an 8x11 and another picture on a smaller scale. I wanted to see how they would behave if given a chance to move freely on the paper. Additionally, I used them wet on wet and wet on dry. The paper I used was Arches 140lb Cold Pressed Paper. Before I paint, I always spray my paints with some water to pre-moisten them. After using these for a few days I will give you my thoughts on these paints.1. When using these paints on a larger scale wet on wet, they would dry up very quickly on the paper and I felt rushed to dip my paintbrush back into the paint to avoid pooling of paint. Most often I was not so lucky. The results were streaks of paint and unsmooth transitions. The same results occurred when I used this method wet on dry.2. When I used these paints in my small sketchbook it was totally different. On a much smaller scale, these watercolor paints do perform. I drew the same picture and painted using the same colors, however because the paper stayed wet longer, the paint behaved differently. Blending of colors on the paper was easily done and the results were much more satisfying and beautiful. The results were also quite nice using them wet on dry.3. In both cases I did not use the brush that came with the set as it is useless to use with watercolor. For watercolor you need a โthirsty โbrush. Even if you are going to give this to children to use, buy a decent brush to use with watercolors so your frustration level doesnโt go through the roof. The last thing you need is to be hacking away at the paint to get the results you desire.4. Another bonus with this set is you can use the lid as a palette to water down your colors, or mix your own colors. There are also two separate additional wells for color mixing. In conclusion, I found these paints to be pretty good if you are painting on a smaller scale. These are good for children, beginners or if you are just practicing. I will continue to use them when I take my sketchbook on location as I work on a smaller scale. For practice, these are perfect. However, if you are looking for higher quality pan watercolors, there are better options out there for you to choose from.I am providing pictures that I painted on a larger scale to show you where the paint streaked and also the scaled down pictures where the paint behaved much better (the all-white background is the scaled down painting). In addition, I provided you with a sample of what each color looks like on watercolor paper.I did receive this product at a discount for my thorough review and honest opinion. These are my thoughts and conclusions solely.
