The best PMP Exam Prep book
Without doubt, the best preparation guide for the PMP exam (and I have read most of them!!). It resolved many of the ambiguities present in the PMBOK and other sources. For example, the discussion of forward and backward passes for critical path analysis when leads, lags and non FS situations are present is without equal, as is the comparison of zero vs day 1 start times in CP. If you use one source for your exam prep, this should be it.

My primary source for the PMP test
Used this as my primary source for the PMP test. Read it twice and used the PMBOK as a reference. Passed the test on the first try. I also recommend the earned value book by Aileen Ellis which really helps explain the EV formulas.

Effectively enforces the PMBOK
Effectively prepared me for the exam. The ITTO's were a big part of the exam, be sure to highlight them in the book.

Oustanding way to study for the PMP certification exam
Don't buy the PMBOK, buy the PMP certification for Dummies. The first will put you to sleep, the latter will enlighten you by explaining the material in a very logical way with many, many hints and recommendations. This is not an easy subject, but with the "Dummies" book you can learn the material.

Do Not Buy this Book. Information is inaccurate.
This book has inaccurate information in it. If you study this book in preparation for your PMP exam, you will learn the wrong information.I have been studying multiple books including the PMBOK 5 and this Dummies book should be taken off the market immediately. The Dummies book also includes incorrect words so the QA is not good. I was able to overlook some incorrect words but decided to toss my book when an answer to an exam question was incorrect. One question was about a type of PMO but the answer to that particular question was an "administrative PMO" according to the book's answer sheet. There is no such thing as an "administrative PMO". PMOs are Supporting, Controlling, and Directive. "Administrative" is not even a type of PMO. Do not buy this book folks. It's hard telling how much other information is incorrect. If I hadn't written in my book, I would ask for a refund. My book is sitting in my trash can right now.

Pros and Cons
Cons: Many grammatical and spelling errors. The book would benefit from a thorough proof read and revision. Some of the terminology used does not match the PMBOK 5th edition. For example: The book references 'administrative PMO' - this is not a type of PMO. There are several other misleading terms throughout this book. I would recommend reading the PMBOK and completing the required course work before using this book as a supplemental reference.Pros: I purchased this book after I completed my required course work. I found this book to have excellent, well explained examples. The book is well organized. The examples and terminology breakdown makes complex concepts much more digestible.

Great way to ease into a tough subject matter?
Gives a lot of examples instead of just stating factoids. I need to put things into context and this books tells you how to remember all the processes and knowledge areas. Then i studied the PEMBOK guide book and it was a lot easier.

Should help my prep for sure.
Fast shipment but I was not aware I was receiving a used copy. Lucky for me so far only 1 page has hand scribbles observed. Either way it was still in pretty good condition. Let's see if it REALLY helps with PMP exam prep.

Excellent book for PMP preparation
One of the lesser known/less popular books on PMP Prep(not as Popular as Rita/ Head First) but I found it as a very useful Book. I came across this book while reading some excellent online articles by the Author Cynthia in Dummies website. at less than 450 Rs INR, you can't go wrong with this book. Here are the Pros and Cons of this book:Pros:1. Content is in same order as PMBOK (except that it is used process group wise, not Knowledge area wise) so it's an excellent accompanying book to understand PMBOK in easy language2. Has samples of all the important Project Management Templates like Project Charter, WBS, Risk Register etc3. Like any other dummies book, easy to use languageCons:1. I felt arranging Knowledge area wise would have made it better and more in sync with PMBOK . However, since Most of the other books (except Kim Heildman) are KA wise, this book should help in reading the same content Process Area wise.2. End of chapter questions are too easy and may not be useful for PMP preparation.

Great book with great explanations of all the important concepts
Great book with good explanations and examples. I haven't taken the exam yet so I don't know how efficient it is. I have been comparing its content to the PMBOK and I see few differences. There are some items in the PMBOK that are not mentioned here. So I would recommend to read both books. This one will explain the important concepts in a very clear manner so it is much easier the grasp them.
