WP42 - Easy Piano Classics - Bastien (Bastien Older Beginner Piano Library)

I am so very happy I purchased this book for my piano lessons. This became a fast favorite during my lessons as there are so many wonderful selections. Most have very helpful fingering guides and appear for the most part to be the complete sheet music.Another reviewer pointed out a few missing notations like trills and that Fur Elise only has the first section which is accurate. Doesn't detract from how great a collection is in this book though. And the spiral binding is just the icing on the cake. I'm an adult beginner, have been studying for just one year now, and I love classical piano. I like to play for my own pleasure, a keyboard, with earphones. I'll never be great, but I love the sounds, and it's difficult to find books of simplified classics. Many of these are beyond me, but about a third of them, like the theme from Brahms No. 1, are within my ability, and the arrangement of that one (and several others) is very beautiful. I find this book far preferable to Big Book Of Beginner Piano Classics, which doesn't even include chords and is TOO simple. This one is just right, and maybe in another year or two I'll be able to play them all.

Lot of classical music to brush up on.

Nice book but it has some of the same songs as the other classical songbook. Also whether it is easy or not depends on your skill level. Religious favorites is much easier.

I had this book for 45 years ago and it was falling apart. I wanted to replace it and found their book and bought it. I am very pleased by the condition it is in and excited to use it. Thank you

This newer edition has a spiral binding unlike earlier editions. This feature makes it much easier to use.The classical selections are easy to sightread for someone with one to two years of piano experience which works well for the young and older student.
