I was looking for a way to send a couple of audio channels into another room and came across this unit (along with its male counterpart). I bought the male/female pair and some shielded CAT6 cable. My run is about 60 feet through conduit and it has been working fine so far. No noise, clean signal. I’m even sending phantom power over the setup to power a stereo condenser Rode NT4 mic. Build quality is great and totally passive. Just don’t forget that you need shielded cable with shielded RJ45 connector. This provides the needed 9th conductor.

When you need to get multiple mics from point A to point B and you don't want to string 100' of multiple feet of cable but one little ol' Cat 5 these things are GREAT!!!

Always researching wish I had these years ago.. will continue to sharping my set-up and quality.

Great product! Much easier than rewiring an existing Cat6 cable to create XLR cables.

These guys make the best Cat to XLR conversion box I have used. Very simple and robust construction. :)
