Great quality, great price
Finally a foam roller that holds up to regular use! I purchased a similar product on ebay before buying this and within a month of regular use, it no longer held it's shape. It had softened in multiple spots and was no where near as effective as a foam roller should be. I've used this roller for several months and it has no soft spots yet. Very effective especially after running. If you've never used a foam roller before, do yourself a favor and google the purpose and instructions on their use. Especially if you are rehabilitating an injury or do any kind of regular workout routine. You will cut your next day soreness down A LOT by using this. Also note, these are typically color coded. The black foam roller is a lot more solid than some of the other colors so if you are new to using a foam roller, you may want to start with something a little softer and work your way up to this one. You WILL feel some pain or discomfort using a foam roller especially if you've never done it before. No pain, no gain.

Great but my 18 inches roller looks like it was cut from a 36 inch
the product is great. i ordered both the 12 and 18 inches. when i received the 12 inches i was so happy because i can bring it to the gym. i don't wanna share a roller with other sweaty people in the gym. but when i received the 18 inches for my friend i was surprised the other end looks like it was cut from a longer roller. u can see the inner foam it still looks sturdy because they are made from high density foam. it just look like the company run out of the 18 inches and so frustrated that it has to cut an 18 inches size from a longer roller . not to mention i've been waiting this for over a week which amazon promised a next business day delivery. overall am happy with the product except it looks so unprofessional of them if they continue to do this. i dont mind waiting as long as they give me the appropriate product.

I'm not good at returns but really wish I'd tried this sooner ...
I bought this based on ok reviews especially one guy raving about it. You cannot get any traction on it because it's too thick. When I lay down on it, it slides up the back rather than allowing your body movement to control it. It's also too narrow. I'm a small female but it barely covers the width of my back. I'm not good at returns but really wish I'd tried this sooner than I did so I could have sent it back. Useless!

Works well
This thing is great for when your back has been giving you issues. Given the increasingly sedentary lifestyles that we lead nowadays, back issues are being ubiquitous and frequent, even for people who are otherwise fairly healthy. Whenever my back is taking me for a ride, I pull this thing out and give it a few rolls. I might look like a dork while doing it but hey, it works, and it usually works out whatever knots and points of tension are bothering me. This thing is affordable and worth your money. It's a sturdy build and it probably won't go bad for a few years or more. If you have back issues, do yourself a favor and get this thing.

I don't know how I lived without this for so long!
I had been having major back pain and sciatica problems for a while. My chiro and a few workout friends suggested I get a foam roller. I wasn't sure what I was getting into but at this point, I was willing to try anything. When I first got it, I pulled up a few you tube videos and got to work. The pain was so intense I almost threw it in the garbage. When you've never massaged muscles in this way, it can be quite excruciating, but I just kept on trying it out and it got better and better with each rolling session. Now, 10 months later, It is what I do after every work out session. As soon as I am done, I lay on the floor and spend 10 minutes rolling out my legs and my back. It helps to stretch out my muscles after an intense workout and it honestly has kept the length of my soreness down too when I do an intense workout or running session. The pain intensity is now gone and it feels amazing. If you are wondering if this will help, give it a shot. Keep up with it, work through the pain and it will become your best friend.

Rockin and Rollin
It's a Black Foam Roller. In case you forget it's written prominently on one end. Also, I should point out it is made in USA.I'm about 165lbs and 5'9", and the 18 inch length is perfect for my needs because the small size lets me store it unobtrusively and roll in a narrow hallway. Yes, that's how I roll.If you don't have good control over your rolling and go all willy nilly, or if you like to roll out in large spaces, or even if you just roll with a wide load, I would recommend getting a longer one. This baby is best for low profile controlled rolling and easy storage. The quality is very good - again, Made in USA. The foam is firm enough to really knead those glutes and quads, but it has a dense rubber quality to it as well that means it is not brittle like a cheap styrofoam cooler. Now go rock n roll!

Too hard but not firm, and gouges too easily
Other rollers are significantly better, in my opinion. The plastic material on this one is so light and flimsy, and yet hard to the touch, that it does not benefit from firmness - it's just hard and plasticky. Also, as hard as it is, it's fragile. It is easily gouged.I do have other rollers that are much better - such as the W WODFitters Trigger Pin Muscle Therapy Roller for Mobility, Recovery before and after WODs and Optimized Performance - More Effective than Foam Rollers for Self Myofascial Release and Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Massage- Black Friday Sale 2015, Cyber Monday Deal, Christmas Gift and Stocking Stuffer (Red-Black-White, Double Bubble - 17")

Works okay, but too firm and too thick
This roller works okay. As I've never used one before, I didn't really know which one to get. I bought this one based on the price. In the end, I should have researched a bit more. This roller is solid. Very solid. It's like the hard closed foam used in motorcycle and bicycle helmet linings. No give what-so-ever. At 18", it's also a bit thick for me. In the end, I should have gone with a roller about half this diameter, and made of a bit softer foam.
