We received this book promptly, and my 7-year-old son loves it so much he rereads it almost daily. Frank Asch books are the best.

Early to bed, early to rise....that's how you see a bright and beautiful sunrise !
This is a delightful story about a little bear who just can't seem to get up early enough in the morning to see the sun come up. Little Bear tries setting a number of alarm clocks but they don't awaken him. Then he asks his good friend, Little Bird, to wake him up but that doesn't work either. Finally Little Bird comes up with a plan that does work. Hooray!The simple but colorful illustrations make this story come alive and toddlers will love reading about Little Bear and problem of never seeing the sunrise. Try using this book with a child who doesn't like to go to bed a night. Perhaps it will help.Book provided by publisher.

My five year old and seven year old loved it.
From my five year old: "It was great." From my seven year old: "It was funny when Bear asked Little Bird why he didn't wake him up, and he said, ' I tried. I even pecked you on the nose!' And he bought 10 alarm clocks!" We love the Frank Asch books.
