The trivets are made of silicone and are nicely made and durable, yet they are very light and flexible. You get three trivets in the set. The colors are very pretty, pink, light blue and dark navy. All three trivets are the same size, 7” across the middle. I would have preferred having three different sizes and definitely a larger sized one. It is nice that they can go into the microwave while heating food. I use mine to place under a bowl while heating up leftovers. My bowl is 6” at the widest part. Once the food is done heating, I move the trivet with the bowl to the table. The trivet is very flexible and is large enough to wrap the edges around the lower portion of the bowl making it easy to transport the bowl to the table and then use the trivet to protect surfaces. It is very convenient to not have to grab extra oven mitts or an extra trivet for the table. It would be great if the trivets came in a larger size because one trivet is too small to wrap around the edges of a 10” dinner plate. I have to use 2 on each side in order to safely remove the plate from the microwave. I do like that when food accidentally gets on the trivet it is very easy to clean. It can be rinsed off with soap & water or put into the dishwasher.

I have no idea what is supposed to make them “magical”. They are simple, but excellent quality silicone mats.My favorite use is in the microwave. I put them under the plate or bowl before microwaving. Then I have something I can hold onto when the plates or bowls are screaming hot.These can go directly from the microwave to the table at that point and protect the finish of my table.I like the fact that I can hang them up when not in use.Very useful and easy to clean.

These mats are multi-purpose. I can use them for a counter protector for things that come straight out of the oven. These are nice and thick and work well to protect. I really wanted them for stacking my high dollar frying pans on top of each other. These keep them from getting scratched by placing them in between each pan. I do recommend these pads as they are great for many things.

At the time of writing this...I think I'm the only one that actually has the Magical Butter machine...and uses these when making infused butters and oils.So, the Magical Butter machine allows you to make infused butters and oils using your herbs of choice...so if you are in a state where certain things are legal for medicinal or recreational purposes, then you can create edibles and other stuff using that machine.I typically make coconut oil because it is so versatile. It's also the reason I got these trivets...I tend to make a lot in one day. I'll do multiple batches and I use large jars...which have often left some damage on my desk or whatever table I use.Now, I can use these trivets to protect my surfaces. They are of course good for everyday needs as well, which makes them an even better value in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of the Magical line.
