Understanding Physics

. .Assimov succeeded in producing a book for those like me who do not readily "see" or easily comprhend the "language" of mathematics .This is something which most physics textbooks -and teachres ,fail to acheive. Anyone who is familar with Asimov's "New Guide to Science" will recognise his writing style and his ability to make his subject such an enjoyable read. A good read for those struggling to understand the basics but also for those wanting to revise the physics they learnt yers ago and also for those who already have a good understanding of physics who want an enjoyable read from an superb writer who will take them on an enjoyable journey reviewing the basic concepts using his imaginative style.

I had a lot of questions in physics when I was a kid. Now that I have grown up and got some free time during weekends, I decided to dig answers for those. This book just changed my thought process. With COVID lockdown, this is my perfect companion to understand how things work in physics and Asimov's explanations are extremely intuitive and foundational. I don't see that in many people. Many people just try to jump to advanced concepts without having a deep understanding of the basics. If you are a kid/new to physics or if you are someone who has lost touch with physics and wants to understand it deeper rather than being mathematical/thorough, you should read this book. You will just understand the basics but would gain deeper intuition, that's very important.

I first read this as a teenager. Revisiting it now in my four-ties. It’s a very enjoyable read. Great narrative style makes learning fun.

Speaks for itself. If you cannot understand Physics with this book, nothing will.
