This pot is amazing. OMG I wasn't thinking and plugged it in in the car while I was driving - and I had both lids on and the little steam hole sealed up for carrying it. You are NOT SUPPOSED to do that!! All of a sudden "BANG!" I didn't jump tho' cuz I knew instantly what I had done! And you know what? It sucked the inner lid inwards and bent it nearly in half. Oh, no! I've ruined my little pot and it's brand new! But WAIT! That lid gradually returned to its perfect normal shape within about 24 hours. All you can see is a slight whiteness in the purple plastic on top from where it bent from the vacuum force of heating a sealed pot. It still works great and you'd never know I'd put through such a mistake!This little pot never burns anything. It's downright amazing. And great for someone like me who is very likely to leave things on and burn food. Impossible to do with this Portable Purple Perfect Pot. It seems to not let the temp get past a certain point. It does bring things to a boil, tho, which is great! I cook in it a LOT especially now because I am quarantined upstairs without a kitchen with a lingering but mild case of covid. I've literally cooked two steaks in it. I cut them up into bite-size pieces and added first oil on the bottom and then I let it warm up a bit and then added the meat, seasoned it, covered it and let it cook away - basically until I remembered to check on it. It worked!! I didn't add water; the meat seemed to provide enough, but you could add a bit to the raw meat.I've boiled eggs in it and simmered sweet potatoes and re-heated soups and even non-soups. It's a good size - the 33 oz. I would highly recommend a 33 oz one of these over the smaller ones.I keep the plugin power cord in the house of course and I keep the car plug-in cord in the car. This pot heats up great in the car. I wouldn't use it to cook in the car unless you've got time....I'm not sure, but I think cars don't provide as much power as a household plun-in. But if you're heading out on a road trip, this pot would be great. I was on the road for a couple of months last year and I sure would've benefitted from this pot - especially in hotel rooms! You don't have to microwave everything when you have this.I'm a big fan of purple, so that was a bonus.Note: you can't tell when the pot turns off its heat to keep the temperature modulated - the light shines on. But it does. Anyway, I adore this little thing and I'm using daily. Highly recommend!

Greatest! And exactly what I was looking for! Truly hates food, and can cook it a little bit too. Not merely a 'food warmer'. In 30 minutes on the dot it seems to give piping hot food if you put it in unfrozen, and if I add frozen vegetables into something then it may take 45 minutes or an hour. Raw onions get slightly softened, which is great for my preferences, and their flavor goes into the rest of the dish! Marinate into the rest of the dish as well and add flavor other things I tried did not get hot enough to allow those things to happen.I tend to make 'dump meals' in this, by adding different chunked or shredded meats, chunky ingredients, broth, aromatics & seasonings, and stirring them together to make a dish. As well as reheating leftovers fantastically!Have not tried the DC car function yet. Have been using it in a wall outlet. This has streamlined, changed my life, and is allowing me to eat healthy hot foods very conveniently especially during the cold weather! This will help me do more work and be able to be busy with other things while eating great custom-made meals piping hot!I could not be happier. Plan to buy more of these!

its cute and pink, i only used it once bc the gas at my apt wasnt turned on when i moved it, i cooked eggs and tried to put steak pieces in it too and make them small and it was impossible to cook them fully but i still ate it w tortilla chips and it was fine. I cooked it for awhile too not sure how long maybe 30min bc at one point i realized it unplugged. after i tried to clean it in the sink and i couldnt get off a burned mark in the center. otherwise it warmed up really well

I love this cooker so much! My six year old can make ramen noodles while we're in the car. Seals tight no leaks. I just set it on a hot pad and let it do it's thing while I drive. Food is ready by the time I get where I am going. So pleased. Love how easy it is to clean, and having an adapter for the wall as well as the car adapter is so convenient.

I bought one of these to keep my lunch up in from my vehicle, it is both 12 V and 110 and 120 V powered, it is automatic when you plug it in you don’t have to switch it to what power you want, because it has two different plug-ins Depending on what source you use.When it is plugged into 12 V, it doesn’t get very hot at all. It just barely gets warm, I thought it first there was something wrong with it so I brought it in the house and I plugged it in to 110 V outlet and it got extremely hot And worked very well and it heated up really quick .If I would’ve known, I wouldn’t have bought it.I don’t use using it in the house when you have a microwave or an oven or a stove, so what’s the point in that?No, I wouldn’t recommend this product
