However I've use these for years and they are extremely durable and my dog loves them! **Q: i have a german shepherd that has very strong mouth and can even pop a basketball do you think she would be able to tear this product apart?** A: The most durable disc is the Xtreme Air Flyer, but good luck finding one of those. They're vintage, from the 70's. I've bought so many frisbees, its ridiculous, & my dog lays down as soon as she catches it & tears it up by the time I get to her to take it from her. After a few throws they're all destroyed. My mom gave me the Xtreme Flyer she found in her husband's old stuff, but unfortunately, my dad was dog sitting & let her keep the Xtreme flyer so she was able to work the edges for a week. It was still in pretty good shape, unbelievably, but I just let her have it after that. I figured I'd just buy another. It took her about 3 months, maybe a little bit longer, of daily chewing to flatten out all the edges. And make no mistake, she is a power chewer from hell! I had no idea it would stand up to her chewing for that long, or that it was nearly impossible to buy another one, or I never would've let her have it to chew. There's a few on eBay right now, but I'm not going to buy one just for her to chew up again when someone else can buy one & have it last for years and years for their dog. I'm sure I'll regret not getting one bc I'm sure they'll all be bought within days & I'll never have a chance to buy another. But shes 10 yrs old now & would rather chew than fetch anyways. So I'll just stick to buying deer antlers off ebay. **Q: Dishwasher safe?** A: Hey. Yes. Dishwasher safe. **Q: Is this a hard plastic frisbee like the human ones or a soft rubber one like the kong versions ? my gsd only likes catching the soft ones.** A: This is definitely a softer plastic but dense and durable. Shop around to see if you can get it cheaper through a supplier near you. I bought a cheaper disc (superhero I think) from my local disc club for around $10 and he had destroyed it within a day. This is well worth the money if you have a dog like mine, because I have had this for a few months and he has put only one tiny tooth mark into it, and we use it every day. It flies really well too, although it is heavier material so I think other discs that are not as bite proof as this one would fly better. Can definitely use this one for training and competitions, he tugs on it as well and no damage from tugging. He is also not allowed to chew on his discs, but he sometimes scrapes the top with his teeth when trying to pick it up and he has folded this like a taco a few times and still no damage.
