Well constructed with a solid weight. Not too heavy, not too light. Writes smoothly and dries quickly with no bleeding or smudging. Cap closes securely with an audible "click." Pen is balanced and writes well when posted. Pocket clip is neither too rigid nor too lax. Comes in perhaps the most elegant box of any luxury pen. For $33, this was a steal.I've ditched my Parker IM fountain and now use this Waterman as my everyday pen.Note that the item description says pen only, so it does not come with any ink. I purchased an 8 pack of the Waterman fountain cartridges. You have to break the seal of the cartridge before loading it. I did this by simply squeezing the end with my fingers and it cleanly popped open right away.

I've said before, Waterman is a superb brand with a sensitivity to the little guy's budget who wants a quality product. I know there are great brands out there...Waterman ranks up there with the best of them. Now that the sales pitch is out of the way, the Hemisphere is a nicely designed pen, and the color a rich and warm hue. It's designed to fit nicely in one's hand. The nib is sturdy and the ink flows smoothly and evenly, no blotting or skips. Well done Waterman!

For a fountain pen that is not very expensive, it is of excellent quality and feel. It writes smoothly and is comfortable in my hand. I had stopped using fountain pens over 10 years ago, and I recently decided to try one again. I'm glad I did, and now I have this blue Waterman and a black one. Also, the ink cartridge is easy to use.

Very nice pen, just expensive

The pen is a little light in weight. What I like about it is that the nib is more forgiving in comparison to my Parker. It will continue to write nicely when my nib angle with the paper gets a little out of sorts. My Parker will skip or stop writing when I make the same mistakes. This pen writes smooth.It comes with one blue ink cartridge, I purchased a re-fillable separately to use with this pen. If it we're a little heavier I would give it 5 stars

Penna stilografica per uso quotidiano, si presenta leggera e maneggevole, con un tratto fine e regolare.La penna viene fornita completa di cartuccia colore blu, di tipo grande da 7,3 cm, unitamente al certificato di garanzia, nascosti nell'astuccio posto sotto il cuscino di alloggiamento.Con un po' di manualità, è possibile inserire anche la cartuccia da 5cm, sempre Waterman, ma è necessario che provvediate con un chiodino a bucare la cartuccia in modo da allargare la plastica della cartuccia e riuscire ad infilarla nel pennino interno.Viceversa, se userete la cartuccia da 7,3cm, quella adatta e progettata per questa penna, vi basterà posizionarla nell'alloggiamento superiore ed avvitare il pennino rivolgendo quest'ultimo verso l'alto (senza fare pressione diretta sul condotto dell'inchiostro, che rischierebbe di spezzarsi!).La Hemisphere, nel complesso, scrive bene, considerando le dimensioni non molto importanti e il prezzo decisamente basso per le finiture offerte che sono appropriate tipo di penna.Buono il flusso che è sempre regolare anche accelerando nella scrittura ma non entusiasma per personalità.Del resto, se intendete disporre di una penna con la quale poter facilmente variare la tipologia di tratto, questa non fa per voi, ma dovrete scegliere pennini "large" e spendere ben altre somme (Waterman Exception, per restare in casa, o Montblanc Meisterstuck Mozart! Per capirci...).Questa è una penna indicata per scritture dal tratto fine e con dimensioni piccole, che apprezzerete più per la facilità di utilizzo che per le prestazioni.Anche l'impugnatura - il corpo è comunque sottile - potrebbe creare fastidi alla vostra mano se utilizzata per scritture prolungate.Ovviamente, vale sempre la regola che una stilografica richiede un appoggio leggero e ritmato per rendere al meglio e non creare fastidi allo scrivente.Insomma, è una penna ad ampio raggio di utilizzo ma non può soddisfare esigenze estreme, né per quanto riguarda la maneggevolezza né le prestazioni. Però fa in maniera ottima quello per cui è stata progetta: rendere la scrittura quotidiana una scrittura unica.Un voto basso va ad Amazon che subito dopo il mio ordine (ultimi tre pezzi, prezzo € 53,00) ha abbassato il prezzo a € 43,00: anche se, fortunatamente, ho usufruito in prova gratis della spedizione "Prime" (magra consolazione).Dunque, se riuscite a comprare questa Hempisphere al prezzo di € 43, fate proprio un buon affare, stravolgendo la vostra abitudine di scrivere con una "appiattita" penna a sfera, alla quale non vorrete più tornare.E, nel contempo, anche se siete un ragazzo universitario, vi regalerete uno strumento di indiscutibile eleganza, specie in questo magnifico abito blu!

Penna favolosa Blue Obsession da usare come "slim" di disimpegno dalla Waterman Expert Blue Obsession in termini di uso quotidiano rispetto alla più impegnativa Expert. Non ha il converter nella confezione e quindi va acquistato a parte. Nella confezione ho trovato tre cartucce blu proprietarie (non si possono usare le standard tipo Pelikan). La utilizzo con Pelikan 4001 Royal blue e Cancellino Pirat. Perfetta! Scorrevolissima con Pennino F anche su Pigna Monocromo come carta (nessuna falsa partenza nel tratto e nulla da invidiare alla Expert).

The pen is lovely - writes well and smoothly, easy to load, came with an adapter so I don't have to buy cartridges if I don't want to. But Waterman's idea of a "fine" nib is anything but. It's like a medium on other pens I own. And they don't offer the option of an extra fine nib. That's very disappointing.

Beautiful pen, I bought this to replace a defective version which I sent back. I had issues with the pen skipping, which is something many people have noticed in the past. However, the nib now on my new pen is like glass, it is so smooth and has not skipped once. It provides a nice silky amount of ink and is truly a joy to write with. The cosmetics of this pen are also quite classy, with a rich blue lacquer with bold chrome trims, it really is a work of art. Although I had issues with my first Hemisphere (I purchased the deluxe metal version for £72.10), I soon forgave Waterman after receiving the replacement. I should mention that it works well with the standard converter too, no leaking and looks pretty smart with the pen.

Me parece que cumple con lo necesario para ser una buena pluma: es suave, no suelta más tinta de la necesaria y se agarra muy bienTuve una igual regalo de mi padre y quise replicarla. El era un enamorado de las plumas y plumines, los tinteros y la caligrafía. Así que me fío de su elección y seguiré repitiendo
