Save money!
I really enjoy my Nespresso machine but don’t like having to spend unnecessary amounts of money on pods. This reusable capsule is solid. It is well made and comes with a brush to wipe away coffee residue. It also comes with a scooper to fill it with coffee grinds. Overall works well. I can usually pack In 3 scoops of coffee, however, a Nespresso pod packs in more coffee grinds. I guess this is a cheaper consultation prize to the over priced pods.

Can be messy
This product isn't bad, but it could use some work. Packing the coffee into it isn't hard, but it can make a mess. It tends to make a mess on the inside of my Nespresso machine and that's slightly obnoxious. The pod itself is very hot after being used so you cant clean it right away. When you do get a chance to clean it, you might have to actually scrape the grounds out because it's packed in pretty tight. My nespresso machine ended up going into standby mode after using this pod only three times as well, and that's never happened before. Overall it's not a bad product, it gets the job done. It's just a bit of a mess to deal with.

Enjoying autumn coffee flavors from our local roaster!
Second review, Fall 2020... as I mentioned below in my original review this product is a great concept, but there is a learning curve. We just bought our second capsule so we can prepare them the night before and have two cups of coffee ready to go in the morning. As I mentioned before, it is important to use espresso grind coffee when making a pod, otherwise your coffee will be too weak. However, I find if you don't top it off with some regular grind coffee in the final scoop, the finely ground coffee will often clog the percolation holes in the capsule. So again, start with three scoops of finely ground espresso, then top it off with one scoop of regular ground coffee. Screw on the lid, and you're ready for a wonderful cup of coffee, albeit a bit weak if you don't stop it at 6 oz, in my opinion. Thanks to this product, we are enjoying some awesome seasonal flavors from our local coffee roaster that you simply can't get from Nespresso. At the same time, we continue to purchase original Nespresso capsules regularly to have on hand for convenient and ready access when company arrives!Original review, Spring 2020....This product is a great idea -- in concept. However, it still requires additional design modifications before it lives up to claims that it makes 8 oz of coffee. Essentially, this pod has the capacity to hold only 4 scoops of finely ground espresso coffee whereas the original vertuoline pod holds approximately 6 scoops. So right from the start using simple math you see why the coffee is very weak if you allow the machine to run the full 8 oz cycle. The capsule is holding only 2/3 of the amount of coffee grinds. I find if you cut the machine off (hold down the start button) when the cup is half full you'll get a pretty good tasting cup of coffee. I wrote to the merchant with my concerns and received a prompt reply instructing me to "try to fill with four scoops ground to top, level with edge, tamp down tightly before screwing the lid" which of course I did. The other concern is you MUST use finely ground espresso type coffee, but too fine and it clogs the tiny holes in the capsule that allow the water to percolate through. I have been using Bellino Italian Caffe Espresso, after trying many others. Even that brand will sometimes clog the holes. I'm experimenting using 3 scoops of Espresso grinds topped off with one scoop of regular grind coffee. Doing so seems to prevent the finer ground coffee from reaching the top of the capsule where it will clog the water holes. Bottom line: This is a great idea, that makes great coffee, if you buy the "8 oz" capsule but are satisfied stopping the brewing process when it reaches approximately 4 oz of coffee! And it's much easier than using the sticky, glue-on aluminum lids! (I will change my rating to 5 stars if I can figure out a way to get 7 or 8 oz of great coffee from this capsule.)

Good flavor, tough price
If you tamp your grounds, this pod makes better espresso than the pods because you can use good coffee instead of the stuff that Nestle sweeps off the floor for their pods. The pod works flawlessly and makes very good coffee. The difficulty is the cleaning. First, when the pod is done, it's scalding hot as you'd expect so you have to fish it out of the built in trash bin. I can work with that. Now when you have to clean it, you either need to burn yourself trying to clean the hot pod (even picking up to wash with cool water is tough bare handed) or wait for it to cool down. Waiting for it to cool wouldn't be a big deal if you could reasonably buy 2-4 packs of these and alternate them, but the price is too high to really justify it. Taking the capsule apart is hard even once cooled, so they aren't quite convenient enough to justify the high price tag. These work well, but they take a lot of work to use and maintain.

It works in my Breville Vertuo machine!!!! Perfecto!
Alright, I tried before I bought these to see if there were any YouTube videos showing that they worked in my Vertuo machine. Well I took a chance and I am so glad I did. They work absolutely amazing with my Breville Vertuo Nespresso machine. I've only yet tried Lavazza coffee with them, Crema E Gusto and Rossa blends and they're both awesome. Couldn't be more happy. After 30 cups these things will be paid for. I think we are up to 8 cups so far in 2 days between my wife and I so very very happy! The Crema is nice and the coffee taste is excellent, especially for a machine! I should make a video showing people they work, because it's going to save me a ton of money in the long run.... Super easy to clean as well. Thanks Capmesso! They were delivered quickly as well to my address in Ontario, very quick actually. Said it was going to be a week and a half originally and came within 2 days on the free shipping option, without prime! Thanks Amazon!!Coffee time!

Good alternative
The media could not be loaded. Need some experiments to get the taste comparable to original pods. Instruction says four level scoops of coffee. It’s the right amount to use. You just need to tamp tightly and make sure to use find grind. This is important to get the crema and espresso flavor. Also pay attention to screw it on tight to avoid any leaking. I find it necessary to have a quick rinse of the system after each use (pressing button three times quickly) to get rid of any residue coffee. Overall the capsule does what it’s supposed to do and it’s a good alternative to original pods. I can now make organic decaf espresso with the machine.

Fonctionne parfaitement dès la première utilisation
The media could not be loaded. Ça a fonctionné #1. Les saveurs par contre sont différentes que celles des capusules Nespresso donc bien sélectionner votre café. Mais en résumé, ça fonctionne vraiment bien. La mousse est présente et donne donc du cachet à votre café

Works as described - I'm very satisfied overall
This doesn't give you much cream as true nespresso capsules do, but what a money saver! On top of that - even though nespresso provides reach taste selection, I really wanted to drink coffee from my local domestic store, and this capsule pod really does what's it's for.Make sure you clean it after you use capsule and don't let coffee dry on the inside - otherwise it's hard to clean. I did a lot of investigation and bough couple pods from different vendors - so far this one is the best for sure from 3 months of experience.

Doesn't work in my Nespresso VertuoPlus machine :-(
I love the idea of refillable pods for my Nespresso.I ordered 1 of these. Didn't work (red light on my machine), so I ordered another one in-case I was unlucky with the first one. Same problem. I emailed the supplier (note in the box that it came in). They asked for a video, which I sent. I had to chase re them looking at it. Eventually got a poor (but I did understand it) English email that they could instead send me caps to put on Nespresso pods to re-use them. For that they'd need my address. Not something I'm keen to send.So for me, great idea, that just doesn't work.I have a Nespresso VertuoPlus machine.
