My Last one lasted 3 years but I just bought a new one and tried it today 4/20/2025 Easter Sunday, and thank the Lord Jesus, my new remote works well. My husband struggled a long time trying to push the different buttons. This replacement remote has been wonderful for him.

The remote doesn’t work, and trying to return it requires navigating through pages of “try this” none of which are relevant to the specific remote. The listing declares there is not set up. The item comes with no instructive manual or paper, yet when trying to return it, you are given instructions on set up and to refer to the manual. It then proceeds to tell you to press buttons on the remote (e.g. “set”), but there are no such buttons on the remote. It almost seems like the listing was copy/pasted or AI generated. It is cheaply made and feels flimsy. The listing is, in my opinion, misleading. Despite it claiming in it that it is compatible With my machine, it is not.

Works with my DVD player perfectly

The remote works (you have to be kinda close to the dvd player though), and all the buttons function. The remote requires two AA batteries that are not included.

I left the batteries in the Sony DVD remote. And naturally they corroded. (Don't do that, always take them out.) The DVD player is over 10 years old. I ordered this remote (rather than the cheaper one) because it said it would work with my Sony player. And it did! YEAH! No set ups or curse words, just worked perfectly. And I just bought a second one (I stepped on the first). Still working great.

Worked right out of the box, worry free.
