Briarpatch I SPY Memory Game

I am so glad I found this. I had it years ago and my students love this game.

Want a matching game that will require your child to do a bit more thinking and a little reading? This is the game for you. My daughter loves matching, but it's a bit too easy now. In this, even "just" matching isn't straight matching - it's matching common objects between distinct picture tiles. When that gets to easy, move to the next level. My daughter loves the top level - get a card with 4 objects listed, and try to find those 4 objects while your opponent is looking for their card. When you do, draw another card and continue, trying to remember what cards have been flipped before. My daughter has now memorized what each card looks like, and will diligently read every phrase on every card with enthusiasm. She can often draw a new card and complete it the same turn because she remembers where they were. If your child is younger and still has trouble with basic matching (my younger daughter) this will be a bit overwhelming, but if they are looking for a new challenge this is a great next step. TLDR: A fun new challenge for kids who love matching games.

Great product for less price. My four year old loves to play with this for hours. We play this as a family game. Funful to grown ups also.Every card has small details and we don't have to stick to the riddles card all the time. My kid loves to create her own riddles. This game Improves vocabulary too. Totally, a good and useful gift to the kids.

A high quality game with various ways to play that can span ages and be used in many different ways as a child grows and advances over the years.

I played this (almost) exact memory game as a kid twenty years ago! I did notice that my favorite pair — the articulated fish — isn’t included in the game anymore. My guess is that Briar Patch removed it, and possibly a few more pairs, to save a few cents per game. I’d be disappointed if that were the case.
