Should be Required Reading for Everyone
Mary Karr is always down to earth and practical. I feel young people will connect with her advice and hopefully make a difference in the world. Karr comes from an unusual educational background and makes no judgments for straying off the path - in fact, the journey is what's most important. Filled with little gems of knowledge, Now Go Out There (and Get Curious) will inspire others to stay the course, no matter what obstacles pop up in life. Curiosity will keep the learner (all of us!) engaged and ever searching for what not only makes us happy, but for what makes the world tick - but one has to "go out there" and make it happen.

Great writing and unmitigated gall in one place.
First, Mary Karr's writing is sublime. Always. This tiny, itsy bitty, so tiny, two pages really, little 'book' is lovely, because everything Mary Karr writes is sublime.Second, this was an amazing con-man level rip off. I am impressed with the unmitigated gall it takes to charge fore than a buck for this. The description says it is 112 pages. It is not. It is one sentence to three strung out endlessly with every other page containing an annoying blue box. I think it was supposed to arty- it was merely annoying. If you put all those sentences on one page- it would be maybe, a 2 page 'book".Third, I am almost positive that I could have went to YouTube and saw someone's iPhone recording of the actual Syracuse University commencement address, instead of paying 7 bucks for it.And if you paid 12 bucks for the hardback of this post-it note of a book- my condolences.

My daughter, a new graduate of Georgetown U., will get a lot from this book
My daughter, graduating from Georgetown U, appreciate this gift. And from what I read before giving it to her, really good stuff. I've been a big Mary Karr fan since The Liars Club, and Lit is my favorite.

Short, Sweet
Not sure if the quantity of content warrants buying this book, but the pick-me-up seemed to be what I needed. Her narrative voice always does it for me.

Don't buy go to library if must
Way too short I had expected a better buy. Not worth buying the book at all. Quick read but I read it all in 45 minutes.

a worthwhile read. Brief. Best read before age of 20 i imagine
She say things i know more eloquently than i would. I guess that stands for something. I will probably read more of her stuff. Hope it's not all for the young and inexperienced. It was a really pleasant read and she sounds like she also has an unconventional past, always prefer people who have that.
