These are OEM replacements and work great. They take about two minutes to install, and have not given me any issue whatsoever.

Exact replacement for original, the only apparent difference is what is printed on the barrel. Easy 10' install (see YouTube videos), agree that using a vise-grips to hold the one you are not changing first makes it easy.

The hood struts worked perfectly. Seem to be good quality at a awesome price. Can't beat fast shipping either.

I did spend the extra money on buying a hood prop for the job (in-laws bring me their cars to work on and ive been wanting one anyways). But a 2x4 or just someone to stand there and hold the hood up for 3 min will work too.. Lift the hood to the max height, use a 90 pick or a very small flat tip screw driver to pull up on the metal tab and pull off the shock ( repeat 3 more times). Replace one at a time, should take 3 min tops. I opened the hood this weekend to fill up my window washer fluid and the hood jumped up and stayed up perfectly.I cannot comment on longevity as they've only been installed a week. I do live in PHX so i cannot speculate how long until the heat destroys these ones as well. OEM lasted maybe 2 years.
