These are the plainest HVAC filters you can buy. Of course, they used to only be a dollar each, but that's not so true anymore!!. Still this is the least expensive alternative and it is the best type of filter you need to put in your HVAC system. Then be certain to change the filter out with a new filter every month. If you have multiple animals or a particularly hairy dog or cat that sheds a lot, then change out the filter every two weeks. This type of filter is the best for your system. You do not want the more expensive pleated ones or the ones that last 3 months plus because it's similar to wearing a mask during the pandemic: the breathing is restricted through the mask. Likewise, your HVAC's air-flow is restricted with the pleated filters (more material go thru) and the 3-months plus kind of filters; (there will be a layer of dirt to breathe thru); therefore, the system must work harder, i.e., the system wears out sooner. Look no further, this is the best price you will find for these plain filters here on Amazon!!

I like ordering so many.

A little more penny's spent for each, but so worth not having to buy 3, put in a too small cart, and carry them. Now I won't have to keep asking the hubby to buy a filter. We only use the less expensive ones. The thicker ones don't work well in out $3,000 furnace.

About 7 of the 20 came damaged in the box, cardboard framing was coming apart but we’re useable and didn’t feel like the hassle of sending them back

I purchased my annual supply of Flanders EZ-Flow 20 X 20 air filters a year ago. They fit perfectly and the cardboard frame was rigid and heavy duty.When it came time to restock, I again purchased these EZ-Flow filters. This time around, it was not the same quality of product. These ones are missing the thin metal support grid on top airflow side and the surrounding frame is made of thinner gauge cardboard. As a result, the filter is extremely flimsy and the sides and corners crush during installation.Not sure if this was done to cut costs but try to find the version with the metal support grid on one side if you can.

These are a no frills but high-airflow budget air filter. The work as they are described. I change these monthly. The work well and allow the air to flow VERY well. Are they HEPA rated...NO...no they are not...but you HVAC system flows a lot better with these filters and will stand up streamers at every vent in the house. The HEPA filters are too restrictive on the airflow in my opinion. They catch more fine particulates which clogs them up a TON faster and need replaced more frequently.

We use these taped on the back of our box fans to run in widows at night to get the cool clean air inside on hot days. Use them just about 24 7 this hot summer. Helps keep the fan cleaner and house cleaner too. Not as dense as others we have used but the super filters are too dense for the cheap box fans.
