Compact, powerful, and reliable GaN charger
This Amazon Basics 68W GaN charger has been a great everyday charger for both my laptop and phone. It’s noticeably smaller than traditional chargers but still delivers strong, consistent power. The dual USB-C ports are very convenient- I can charge my laptop on the 60W port while simultaneously charging my phone or earbuds on the second port without any issues. Charging speeds are exactly as advertised, and it supports USB-C Power Delivery properly. If you’re looking for a reliable, no-frills GaN charger that can handle a laptop and a second device at the same time, this is a great value for the price. It does exactly what it promises.

Powerful for size & cost
We use the Tripp-Lite version (model U280-W04-100C2G) at work. When I found this identical charger under Amazon Basics, I compared specs and found it is the same unit at a better price (the Tripp-Lite was usually found at over $100.) The Tripp-Lite handles all my charging at work, which gave me the confidence to try this one. At home, the Amazon Basics 100W four port charger is used to charge all our devices including our MacBooks, an iPad Pro, iPhones, portable power banks and other devices - sometimes all four ports are in use. It has made all my older chargers obsolete. USB PD (Power Delivery) is a game changer; be sure to read up about it (see below.) This charger follows the USB PD Rev. 2.0 source profiles for USB-C. It does not do PPS (Programmable Power Supply) charging under USB PD Rev. 3 and up; it is a new protocol that not many devices use, at least not yet. Both chargers display several agency markings including FCC and UL. The UL certification for this charger is listed under E472287 for model B087MDYP24 as found online. Beware of using electrical appliances that are not UL listed, there's a lot of them out there. Keep in mind that claiming 'conforms to UL standards' doesn't count; that means it hasn't passed UL safety standards. So far, this one is a winner. No problems after several months of use, UL listed, compact size, powerful, multiple ports and a decent price. I recommend getting the 100W four port version because it works for many charging needs. I'll add updates with use. Some tips: • I've never had a problem with this coming loose from an electrical outlet. If this doesn't stay plugged in to your outlet, the problem might be with the outlet. Loose electrical outlets are a fire hazard! • USB-C Power Delivery is variable: - The device being charged negotiates what voltage and current the charger is to deliver. If the device is not capable of this negotiation, the charger will default to the older USB-A power standard. - Not all devices will be able to use the full 100W capacity of this charger. Our MacBooks can; our iPhones, iPads, and others like our portable power banks can not. - The power delivered depends on the connecting cable. Low quality cables can charge but not at the higher power this charger is capable of. For best results use a good quality cable. - The more a battery charges up, the less power it will draw. If you want to see a charger's best performance, start with a battery with a low state of charge. - Some devices such as my Apple Watch draw less power during charging when the display is active. Once the display turns off, the charge rate increases. Go figure. Updates March 9, 2023: 9 months along and no problems to report with this wall charger. It charges all our devices even with all four ports in use. We're now using it with a MacBook Air M1 & iPad Pro - both get charged quickly with no overheating. This still gets a strong recommendation. June 25, 2023: One year of use and this is my go-to charger. I still rate it five stars and I don't give out five stars easily. September 11, 2024: Two years along and this is still my go-to charger. It works great with our new MacBook Air M3 with the MagSafe 3 charging cable, charging at 100W as reported under System Information. It's an even better deal now that Amazon has reduced the price. Still recommended. :) June 25, 2025: Three years of steady use with no problems to report. One aspect I haven't tested is the input voltage as I've only ever used 120VAC - the charger label states 100-240VAC. This should be capable of use traveling abroad with only a simple adapter. I hope you find this helpful.

Compact 65W charger that runs cool and charges my Framework 13 fast
Excellent GaN charger. I replaced my OEM Framework 13 charger for a fraction of the price and still get full performance under load. It’s compact, well designed, great for travel, and the black finish looks sharp. I’m using it with an Anker 100W cable and it also powers my Pinecil soldering iron without issue. Highly recommended for Framework 13 owners or anyone needing a reliable 65W USB-C charger.

Fast charger and reliable
Great quality charger, better quality than oem Apple charger. I bought with 6 foot cords, so the length of the cords and the power of charging is perfect for my bedside table. The color light that shows when you turn it on is great for knowing you’re charging. With the battery life on the new phones, I can leave it next to my bed all the time, but due to the size of the block, when I have to travel, it fits perfect into my bag with the cord wrapped around it, making it perfect. There seems to be some surge protection, because when you kill power it keeps charging for much longer than most blocks, which makes me feel better if a surge happens it won’t damage my phone. I bought 3 and wish I bought 6 so the whole family has one.

Electrically good, mechanically sus
It works well, and even charges MacBooks, which many third-party chargers can't. However, the positioning and design of the AC outlet prongs make it a PITA at times. They are very loose even in brand-new outlets (literally a new outlet straight out of the box is loose on it). I think they either made the prongs out of too thin of material, or spaced them slightly wrong. This won't work well if you're needing it to remain installed in a wall outlet, but it's fine on a sideways power strip so the charger brick is resting on the floor (see photo)

Worth the money!
Looks like a more expensive option. Works just as well, no issues. Great for travel, great power options for rapid charging.

Style: 65W (1 USB-C) - works great charging Acer Spin 5 after charging port failed
The charging port on my Acer Spin 5 failed, the battery drained overnight and wouldn't boot. I ordered the Style: 65W (1 USB-C) to charge through 1 of 2 USB C thunderbolt ports, hoping that it would solve my problem. To my surprise the overnight delivery arrived (it's 50 - 50 these days) and I plugged it in, inserted the cable into the USB C thunderbolt port and the orange charging light lit up. 20 minutes later, I booted the computer, it worked great, 50 minutes later, the battery was at 100%, which it reached while I was using the laptop. So, this is a straight win, no downside. The charger was cheap, works perfectly and it was delivered in the 4 am - 8 am window. It doesn't come with a USB C cable which is fine, because you'll want a better one than you use for your phone. I ordered a 6'6" fast charge cable with a 90-degree right-angle to minimize the risk of damaging the USB C thunderbolt port, but even if that gets damaged, the Spin 5 has 2 such ports. Have to say this is one of the best Amazon purchases I've made in the 17 years I've had an account.
