According to Castrol’s Lubrication Recommendation Guide, Nissan Matic-S fluid is required for use in a 2014 Infiniti QX70 vehicle. Castrol Transmax DEX/MERC does NOT meet the specifications of Nissan Matic-S fluid therefore Castrol Transmax DEX/MERC is NOT recommended for use and should NOT be used in said vehicle. Castrol always recommends following the guidelines of the original engine manufacturer for the recommended fluid for use in your specific application. This information can be found in the vehicle's owner's manual or by contacting the manufacturer directly. Before using any lubricant, ensure that the lubricant product specifications meet or exceed the lubricant specifications required by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for that specific use.

Castrol Transmax Mercon V ATF, Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle ATF, Castrol Transmax High Mileage ATF, & Castrol Transmax Full Synthetic Multi-Vehicle ATF are suitable for use where Ford MERCON V type fluid is specified and may be used in your application. Castrol cannot guarantee compatibility with competitive fluids as we do not know their proprietary formula, therefore we recommend a complete drain of the transmission and re-fill with Castrol Transmax Mercon V ATF, Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle ATF, Castrol Transmax High Mileage ATF, or Castrol Transmax Full Synthetic Multi-Vehicle ATF. This should include draining the torque converter which holds about one-half of the ATF volume -- dropping the pan will not cause the torque converter to drain.
