Easy Classical Flute Solos: Featuring music of Bach, Beethoven, Wagner, Handel and other composers

This book was perfect for me. I’m in my 40’s now, but I was a first chair flute player in high school and college. Then life got in the way and I stopped playing for many, many years. This book has helped to spark the love I used to feel while I played. It’s easy enough that that I can sight read, with the right amount of challenges to make me feel like I’ve accomplished something when I master the song.

I guess I feel fooled. Granted it did say easy but it also said solos. Nothing in here is a solo, most are just very short and very very easy small excerpts. Several of them consisted of just 2-3 notes (pitches), For me, this was much, much too minimal, other than the Bach Jesu, they are so basic that they are not musical, no one is going to want to hear you play these, other than the Bach. An OK book I guess for someone really truly just starting in music at all. The book is poorly and really not professionally made as well. After I learned the Bach, which I could have just done by ear, I put the book into the wood stove for the sake of the BTUs, not a keeper.

I recently decided to start playing my flute again. It's been 20 years. I will never sound like I did when I played 8 hours a day but playing music is an activity that speaks to my heart and my spirit feels good. This is a good place to start or start over.

This includes nice songs, but most of them are arranged in a very low key, which makes them rather difficult to play, and they sound rather odd in such a low key. A couple of them sound a little better when played an octave higher, but overall I wasn't too impressed.

The songs are good and easy as promised. I knew doenst come a CD with it, but it should. Besides, the brochure it's not well made. You have to fold backwards to stay while playing or use something to attach the book to the stand while playing. The book is alright but I purchased along with other 2 and this has been the one I play the least.

This is just the product I wanted. Check out the "look inside" view. It's familiar classic pieces, simplified. This will not challenge anyone over the beginner level, fyi.

My teacher has my book at her house again she's looked through it says its got stuff easy for a first year student.

A little easier than I thought but can improvise around. Ideal for beginner as mostly in lower to middle range
