Another fantastic Presonus product
So, I bought this microphone to improve the audio quality of my twitch and YouTube content. I've got it plugged into an Audient ID4 MK2 audio interface and I am blown away by just how good this microphone is.Build QualityJust from picking this microphone up and holding it in my hand, I can tell its well built. It's solid and very heavy. Can't complain at all.Set UpSetting this up was a breeze for me. Just plugged it into my audio interface, altered the gain to my liking and it was done and ready to use in OBS. The thing I like aswell is, you don't really need to apply any filters in OBS either because it doesn't pick up background noise (from what I can hear at least) and already sounds great out the box.Sound QualityAgain, really good. Very clear and very natural sounding. I used to hate how my voice sounded through microphones because it would either sound really high pitched or really low pitched, this sounds perfect.Final CommentsI honestly feel bad for people who have bought a more expensive microphone when this exists. When paired with a high end audio interface, it sounds just as good if not better than something like the SM7B from Shure. Presonus once again have proved that you don't have to spend loads of money to have excellent quality, I will definitely be making more purchases from them. So yes, I absolutely reccomend this microphone to any kind of content creator out there.

Brilliant microphone. Would even say it might be better than the SM7B.
You heard me correct (pun totally intended). I literally just compared this £90-ish microphone to the Shure SM7B, a whopping £300 microphone. It's ridiculous to make such a ridiculous claim, isn't it? Well, for someone who's experimented with a tonne of microphones, including but not limited to: this one (PD-70), Shure SM7B, MV7(X), EV RE20 out of the dynamic broadcasting bunch, I have to say that this microphone is brilliant value for overall money. I personally have sensitive hearing and I don't know if it's just me, after all audio is entirely subjective to what people prefer, but I feel this is overall a much better microphone to the SM7B, since I entirely found that it has a lot better presence overall in comparison. I do like the sound of the SM7B, but I never kept mine because I felt that it could get insanely muddy and too dark at times, where my experience straight out of the box with this has been extremely fun and easy-to-use.I rate it 5 stars because I find this to be an easy killer to the "younger brother" of the SM7B, the MV7(X), but of course it has some flaws to it. I don't appreciate that Presonus or other manufacturer hasn't made any shockmounts to help reduce unwanted noise such as vibrations, but I'm fairly happy with the sound quality to put that aside and still rate it highly.Although I haven't used the software that Presonus gives, it is a great resource for those that are new to audio and need help within the post-processing section. It's an amazing resource if this is for beginners or just people like myself who just like messing about with this sort of stuff. My rating? 99/100. The 1/100 over being the shockmount. That is how high I give it.

Presonus stop releasing half-baked products!
There was a time when Presonus tried to provide high quality products without breaking the bank! These days it's all just about repackaged lazyness. It has become an unreliable brand in many aspects including its multiple product lines.Releasing a microphone these days has become a joke for multiple companies. No wonder it's an oversaturated market with horrible products.Cheap components that aren't high quality but also, not really designed to respect customer needs and evolve the market, instead they add more and more junk to the market. Now, many will say, you can't expect much out of a 100 - 200 usd, euro, or gbp microphone range price. But with technology these days, it's actually quite the opposite. Those low price ranges should offer great products. There is no excuse to keep creating more average products just for the sake of selling something. With this being said. This is a microphone that simply speaking, should have never existed alongside with another 100 microphones out there. And yes, acoustic treatment and placement (*including preamps and converters) most of the time are more crucial then the microphone itself; What happens when those aspects are worked out and it still sounds average?Don't go for the cheap route. Try saving a little bit more and get a high quality option. Train your ears and learn the technical aspects of a sound capturing device and maybe then not only your investment will make sense to you but also satisfy your vision.Summarized product description:- Nasty mid range bump and sibliant.- Average Low frequency handling.- Quite noisy.- Build quality is decent.Overall, for Presonus and other "microphone companies" out there, STOP RELEASING JUNK!Low prices can't automatically mean low performance.

Best mic I've ever had!
Absolutely amazing mic! The quality is amazing in terms of sound and build. It's heavy, but not too heavy for a standard mic arm. It's good looking, build so well, the foam quality is amazing and the mic itself sounds fab. I paired with the presonus anniversary audio box and they work together flawlessly.

Great Broadcast style mic
Running the radio station on a budget means we have to save where we can. Not been disappointed with both the sound and look of this microphone. Has replaced the Rode mic we were using before. Fraction of the price of a Shure and for us does the job. We boost the signal first through a preamp which makes it a very quiet mic with good background noise rejection. Will do a full review online later
