Hi - thanks for your question! Yes Sugru should work well for this, Sugru bonds permanently to a wide range of materials and can be used to hang or hold objects weighing up to 2 kg (4.4lbs). If you are using Sugru to bond something directly to another surface in order to mount or hang it, you will need to support the Sugru while it cures. Q: Can i fix a plastic face powder compact with this? It has been dropped and the lid is now detached from the compact base.

While Sugru is an excellent versatile product I dont think it will do this particular job for you. I would probably use clear epoxy resin to repair your compact. Gorilla and Araldite have epoxy kits (it involves mixing together two chemicals which when hardened are similar to hard plastic and its strong!).

Q: Would it help to fix a leg back onto a chair with the help of a screw?

Sugru can definitely help to secure the leg back onto your chair, if you're planning on screwing into the Sugru, we'd recommend doing this before it cures, this way the Sugru will cure around the thread and ensure a strong bond.
