Backyard SafariField Binocs

It is hard to teach kids to use adult binoculars because the field of vision is so small and its hard for them to hold the binoculars steady enough to look at one particular object. I bought these for my 5 year old grandson. He liked them and could focus with them immediately. The field of vision is fairly large and so kids can find an object easier. They are just strong enough to make things look a little bigger. Great way to teach kids how to focus and use binoculars.

Awesome little binoculars for a young boy. I bought these for my five year old son for Christmas. He is very into outdoor adventures and camping. They are very sturdy and made well for young kids. High quality hard plastic that is sturdy enough that I don't have to worry about my son breaking them. He is able to zoom and focus with them to see things in the distance. I can see him using these for a long time, I will definitely be buying more backyard safari products.

She’s a four year old adventure seeker and she has been thrilled to be able to gaze at the things farther away! The binoculars fit her face well, and the strap keeps them ready for her. Four stars because I did have to work the focus dial a bit before it would turn easily but seems to be doing fine now. Good starter binoculars for little explorers!

My kids love these binoculars. They are 2 & 4 and they were fighting over them so much that I bought a second pair. Not exactly functional for an older kid that might want to use them for real but for my young kids, they are perfect. They can also withstand a lot of wear and tear. They have been dropped hundreds of times on the sidewalk and still work fine. Highly recommend for a young explorer!

They really work for distance viewing. Very cute and fun. My son loves wearing them around his neck and looking through the binoculars. My only complaint is the packaging. The zip ties were a little much, especially around the strap. It was hard to get the zip ties off without cutting the strap.

I bought these binoculars for my 3-year-old daughter. I liked the fact that they were designed for small people, that they are adjustable and can be focused. I was a bit disappointed when we got them by how flimsy they are. They are so easy to adjust that they don't stay adjusted: You have to hold them with both hands to maintain a proper interpupillary distance. The focus, on the other hand, is not very easy to adjust. The field of view is tiny, and the optics are so bad that there are rainbows around everything (not so great for looking at stars and planets). My daughter enjoyed playing with them, but she mostly looked at everything backwards. I guess I'll wait until she's a bit bigger and get her a pair of real binoculars.

I bought these Backyard Binoculars to go with the Backyard Safari Vest I bought for my 6 year old grandson for Christmas. I was not all that impressed with some of the accessories reviews; but the binoculars and magnifying glass were better than I expected. I kind of picked and chose accessories based on reviews left; though I wasn't happy about a lot of the vest reviews, I had to give it a try - I mean how else can you clip all these goodies on.So those are my views; but it was a BIG success as a gift and all 5 stars based on my little guy soon had everything clipped on and was ready to go!Enjoy

My little guy loves being outside, and he loves nature. These binoculars were a sure bet. I got these for his 4th birthday, along with a Diego Animal Rescue Pack, a straw safari hat, and a safari vest. He loves to dress up in the whole outfit, but the binoculars are functional, not just for pretend. We can take them when we walk down the trails. He likes to sit in his tree fort and watch the stars too. We are definitely getting good use out of these.
