It's made with a vegetable glycerine base. Glycerine is sweet.

What are the ratios of the plants used for the extraction??

I do not know . You may find that answer at Dr. Christopher's web site. It has helped me and many people that I have told about its efficacy with gallbladder discomfort. The first time I used it for gallbladder pain I received comfort in a matter of minutes

Does this have better absorbtion than the capsules?

Years ago I took the COF capsules but I do like the liquid formula better. I don't like taking so many capsules, so if I can get supplements in powder or liquid form, that is better for me. I read that liquid formulas are absorbed quicker.
