Also are there any tricks for consistent shrinking?** A: you can get inkjet shrink sheets that are intended for this purpose. You could also pre shrink the blank plastic and place a small sticker that you print on it and seal it. **Q: I’m having trouble with getting mine to flatten. after i cook them they curl up and i can’t get them to flatten. what am i doing wrong?** A: A few tips from my experience! 1. Try not to make anything too large as the have a higher tenancy to curl in on themselves then. Try to stick to things smaller than half a sheet. 2. If you have an oven light, watch your shrink cutouts while they are heating up. 3. before taking them out of the oven, make sure to watch and wait for them to be shrunk and flat. They do flatten out a bit more after they finish shrinking. Sometimes all they need is just an extra 30 seconds or minute. I've heard using a heat gun also does a good job of preventing curling, but I have not tried that myself. **Q: After shrinking does the plastic retain a translucent/glassy quality or does it go white / opaque?** A: It is not translucent/glassy. But it is also not completely opaque. It retains the same sanded scratchy quality that it has before shrinking.
